Great news. Does anyone know what Leon makes and if we can get him extended as well?

One of my favorite Egriz bits can live on.

...also, as we all know, contracts don't keep coaches from moving on to other jobs.

true, but 4 years makes the buyout higher and makes things a little more difficult. Not out of the realm for a booster to buy it out though.

No, but it might have a bigger buyout.

This is true, but it's a clear indicator that he isn't going anywhere this off-season and I would bet that's true of next off-season as well. I'll take it!

This is what I was thinking, at the very least it makes it harder for a school to hire him away and MSU gets a cash inflow even if he does. Makes hiring a new coach that much easier

I don't know the details of this contract, but I remember Choates last contract just had a single lump sum of $250K if he broke the contract with more than 12 months remaining. The number of years remaining on his contract didn't matter, just the 12 months.

Vigens last contract had a $250K buyout as well, remaining years on the contract didn't matter.

Making the buyout higher means that they school that wants to poach him has to invest more and probably invest more in their own program, resulting in a better job that some ****** like WSU.

When he does move on I want him at a place that supports him and he can succeed

A handful of gris on X were promoting Vigen for nearly every western FBS job opening. He sucks but is a great candidate for jobs A, B, and C.
