Re: Staff. Who do we bring in?
I doubt it would be reported like that if it wasn't happening.
Does Justin Udy finally get promoted to the job Choate hired him for five years ago, or does Vigen make an outside hire? Is it too much to hope for that Jason McEndoo might come back to coach the OL after being let go from Oklahoma State? Probably but who knows, Al Johnson came from Wisconsin after all.

My question would either want to move all the way to the east coast to coach a team that isn’t relevant. I’m sure they could both get better offers in the Mountain West.

Well, their last OC was making $500K. I can't find info on Walker's current salary but Housewright was making $125K before he left. A potential quadrupling of your salary would be tough to turn down. Are there even any jobs still open in the Mountain West?MinnesotaBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 11:21 pmMy question would either want to move all the way to the east coast to coach a team that isn’t relevant. If it happens, would love to see Jason come back. He has had 10 yrs at Ok St making good money. Family had strong ties to the Bozeman area. I could see him returning.MSU01 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 11:15 pmI doubt it would be reported like that if it wasn't happening.

Yeah Jason McEndoo to OC/OL and then promote Sean Chambers from Assistant QB to QB coach …. Makes a lot of senseMSU01 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 11:15 pmI doubt it would be reported like that if it wasn't happening.

Had no idea Temple paid that well…..but I’m still guessing they could get better offers from better schools.

Article was updated this morning to state that both coaches are leaving and it should be finalized today.

Both are replaceable. Good for them for finding a pay day

Will definitely be interesting to see. I’d imagine someone with Midwest ties for OL. Are to say on the coordinator position. Do we keep things in house with Udy or Mix?
Also, now that the qb position is WIDE open, it will be interesting to see if the playbook changes at all.

We sold on Mac as a play caller? Not really sure what his X's and O's are now.Bozcat003 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 11:32 pmYeah Jason McEndoo to OC/OL and then promote Sean Chambers from Assistant QB to QB coach …. Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

That said, I’m sure Vigen has a short list put together, as I’m sure this wasn’t a surprise.

I love this idea but I am not sure we are salary competitive.Bozcat003 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 11:32 pmYeah Jason McEndoo to OC/OL and then promote Sean Chambers from Assistant QB to QB coach …. Re: Staff. Who do we bring in?
Truly think the offense shined under Walker. He coached Tommy so much better than Housewright did. Hopefully Vigen brings in or promotes someone that can improve on this season who also has a good ability to coach QBs.

Re: Staff. Who do we bring in?
If it was that obvious to us then Vigen probably saw it in the first week that Walker took over. I'm sure he'll find someone that can be a match to whoever the top 2 QBs are right now.

Re: Staff. Who do we bring in?
I would say that getting the offensive line coach hire is probably the most important.
We have been lucky to have had elite o-line coaches through out the years that really developed the players.
