Thoughts as a new fan.......

Post by BobcatBuiltTexan » Tue Jan 07, 2025 10:42 pm

As a new fan this program is something you should all be proud of. This was a hell of a run. As fans.... man yall power this team. Trust me they know yall are behind them.

Going forward...... when you have a great program, like this, you lose players and coaches trust in the people at the top to replace them and upgrade them. We may not have another Tommy at qb but you'll have someone that will help this team be great, trust that.

I know I'm new but this one kinda hurt, I just knew when we got that stop we were going to go down and score. It hurt we didn't go for it on 4th down.

The bobcats will be back and be a great team. Great job fans!!!

Echoed here as well. You post great insights and I rarely see anything that isn’t spot on. Well done coming in and sharing your “stuff”. Keep it up! And regarding the Cats, yep, once you’ve got it up, keep it up…far easier to do that than starting all over. I have complete trust there isn’t going to be a fall off by much in the coming years. We’ll be back, bigger, stronger, faster… =D^

Ditto to what the previous posters said about you BBT. One word that has been on my mind since the end of the game and stood out to me in your post is “TRUST “. It really blows me away how quickly and easily even long term fans seem to lose trust in a program and coaches that have been as successful as ours has been.

I'm a new fan in comparison to most on this forum. Started when Ash was coach and Dmac was the star. I saw a post on fb this morning that really resonated with me from a fan who had been through "the streak. " He basically stated that a15-1 record with a 3 point loss to the powerhouse that is NDSU at the National Championship, is something fans of the past would have been more than thrilled with. To see this program reach the heights it has, the improvement in coaches, players, and facilities, along with dominant wins over the griz over the past 10 years is just something to be so thankful for and proud of. I think the future of this program is more than bright. Like Vigen said, there is an expectation for this program to be competing at this level every year. The foundation has been laid and the Cats are not going backwards, but pushing ahead to accomplish that goal. We'll certainly miss these seniors, they were exceptional. But there are guys ready to step into their roles, and guys we don't even know yet who will be the next big thing. It's an exciting time to be a Bobcat!

To all thank you for welcoming me into this fan base. I love talking ball, especially when it's a great team like the Cats!!

And yes we have done young guys that I think will really show up for us next year. I don't know if they'll have a many wins with such few losses but what I do believe is that the talent level that is waiting to shine through will have us on a deep run again next year. I have a feeling it will look different more balance on offense, possibly even more pass heavy. I for see the defense being even more aggressive because I feel the db play will get better and we have some studs coming back on the dl. I also think done of the guys we have coming in are prime hybrid players that have a ton of ability so we have to figure out where they help us the quickest age I see them upgrading our overall talent level. I think it's on the coaches to not be bullheaded and play too the players strengths instead of fitting them into ready made holes, more so create the hole for that kid to be great in their own right. I trust the coaches to do that.

Can't wait to hear the updates as we get closer to spring ball. Really interested to see who the new names are we'll be talking about.
