Yes I do know this is the football forum. But I thought I would post here as I’m quite sure many of us don’t even know that there is a Cat griz hockey game tonight at 7:30. Not sure where they play in Bozeman. Maybe the fairgrounds. I posted the link to the site.
I heard the ad on 106.9 FM this morning.
I don’t think this counts towards the series as it is club hockey I believe. Maybe somebody else knows the answer.
They play again tomorrow in Missoula.
Does anybody know anything about this year‘s hockey team?
I haven’t ever been to an MSU hockey game

Also just heard that it’s supposed to be broadcast on SWX locally in Southwest Montana

I know hockey is a club sport, but their presence on Twitter is non-existent. They haven’t updated their Twitter page in nearly five years. I don’t know if they are on any other social media platforms. I’d like to see them get their story out to more folks and build their following. I almost forget about them sometimes because I never read anything about their games.

They're still active on Facebook and Instagram. Not sure why they stopped using the Twitter account, perhaps it didn't generate as much interest as the other platforms.

MSU's men's hockey team is very active on Facebook. Even though a club side team, they play in the American College Hockey Associations Men's Division 2 (ACHA MD2). They are quite good and were recently ranked #1 in the division, and possibly still are. Play home games at Haynes Pavillion at the fairgrounds.

Watched them in Helena in October. Unfortunately they lost that one to Providence in SOL. Currently 31-2 with 2 SOL and have outscored their opponents 216-48

I believe they are ranked #1 and sell out most of their games. Cat/Griz has been sold out for a while.

Yep, I stopped at Haynes Pavilion today and the gal upfront didn’t know much about it and she did a little checking and only said I think they’re sold out but I’m not sure!
She tried to be helpful, but didn’t know much.
Maybe it’s a double edge sword where they can’t handle any more fans if they advertised more?
It is supposed to be on SWX at 7:30 but they also have a direct link to Watch on the site. I listed in the first post.

I’d say let’s build a hockey rink in Worthington arena next year and pack the Brick, but I know there would be some naysayers come on here and shoot that down.

Not unreasonable! The ice dogs used to sell out every game when they were at Four Corners. That was a lot of fun. Would be fun if they had a facility college and everybody else could use as well.

Definitely packed at this Cat-gris game too.

Up 2-0 after the first period. This is fun but I really miss the Valley Ice Garden. This is a cow shed with a rink in the middle. They even call it a barn. We need some hockey sugar daddys to finish this place.

Apparently, they have additions planned for next year million dollar addition, and 400 new seats on the east side plus new locker rooms

I attended countless icedogs games at the VIG, I have fond memories of those times. Was cheap entertainment for a broke college student!
