Past 2-3 years the College Football Campus Tour twitter page (the guy who goes to 100s of college football games a year to see new stadiums) has put on a tournament of the best FCS stadiums. It's setup much like the NCAA basketball tournament.

As you can see, Montana State is a 1 seed but voting counts have been somewhat low compared to the other top players. So, I'm creating this thread to remind people who can vote to do so, and I'll posting the new polls when they come up (usually every other day).

Right now, the tournament is the Sweet 16 round and Montana State is up against McNeese State. We're beating the crap out of them, but we can do better. What I'm worried about is our future match up with Idaho, who's Kibbie Dome has a cult following on Twitter, so I'm trying to get out the vote now in anticipation of that matchup and one with Missoula.

Yeah, you do need and X/Twitter. I'm endorsing you get an account just to participate, but if you know someone who does, maybe let them know.

Crud... Just now saw this... I need to pay better attention.

He did this last year and I predict the same winner this year. Jackson State because when it eventually gets to JSU versus whichever school from Montana its going against, JSU gets its voters along with the Montana school its not facing. Gris fans will vote for JSU if its facing MSU and MSU fans will vote for Jackson if its facing UM.

I like this even if it is repetitive every year. You get to see the other stadiums in the FCS.

I've never been to a game at Idaho. Is it that much better than Idaho State. The one in Pocatello sucks.

I've never been to the ISU dome but I've been to the Kibbie Dome once and it was really hot and smelled terrible. It's like they don't have any air exchange system in it or something.

Not really any better, IMO. I think these bracket poll things are way more about which team's fans vote the most for their own team and way less about which stadiums are actually the best.

Yeah, it's really just engagement farming, trying to pick up enough views to make some cash. It is cool to see the other stadiums though. Yale has a neat old stadium that I'd like to visit someday, but I think they only fill up about 10% of their seats. Cool to think the Ivy schools will compete in the FCS playoffs now.

Yeah, from what I'm told the Kibbie Dome (Quonset) is swampy. The ISU Dome (Quonset) is laid out really strange, and it's super cramp.

Yeah, toward the end of this competition it becomes a popularity contest and fight between fan bases, not so much about who's actually got the best stadium. So, if you look at the total votes in the polls, you'll see the Jackson State matchups always has at least 2x the number of votes than other matchups because they have a great following on Twitter, engagement from the University with the contest, and support from SWAC fans. Kibbie Dome (Quonset) also does well because it quite literally has a cult following.

All around best FCS stadium is WGS. Best home field advantage is any dome team that can pack its stadium. None do that. The only exception being NAU which has the advantage of elevation and dome. As a visiting player I would rather play at UM than at NAU.

Food, parking, amenities, bars/restaurants? I have no idea.

Although their attendance has dropped a bit lately, the Fargo dome is almost filled to capacity every game. South Dakota and North Dakota were about 80% filled last year.

On to the Final 4. It's Montana State verses Idaho State. Get out and vote!

The problem is the common CFB fan has a hard on for the Kibbie Dome because it was in CFB '14. It's the ultimate meme stadium, and it's constantly mentioned in r/cfb whenever any stadium related question is brought up. Maybe somebody can correct me because I haven't been to a game there, but it really looks like a dump from everything I've seen
