-lamson had himself a day. Making a strong case to be 1st team big sky
-the punch out forced fumble by Carson Williams. That was awesome, I think he punched him in the nuts all in the same motion. Haha
-I don’t believe there were any new injuries? Overall the team is in great shape.
Good
-Adam jones (maybe great), big game!
-OL play (maybe great), looked really good!
-defense…. Just dominated. Can't put them in great though with allowing that many passing yards. Rush defense was great.
-lencioni is a stud! Very bright future for that guy.
Bad
-still some dumb penalties here and there.
Bobby haucks
-continue to miss PAT’s…. This needs to be fixed in a bad way.
-kickoffs going out of bounds.

Another ugly for me would be the crowd after halftime, as soon as the weather turns the tiniest bit bad you find out very quickly who's there for football and who's there for the party. I'm sure all schools suffer from this and I suppose they all pay their ticket money either way! The game was far from out of reach at halftime with how fast ISU can score points, it would've been 34-21 had Shulikov not dropped his easy TD on their first second half drive.

the run defense. Our LB’s key so fast, and the DL is so dominant that they couldn’t run on us at all. Taylor, Daily, and Grebe is a heck of a trio, and a ton of kudos to Ahrens who is playing well, but considering he’s a true freshman getting legit playing time on a top 5 FCS defense? That’s incredibly at that position. Should probably throw Tim Thomas in there too for that matter.
The offensive scheme. With the OL clicking, you can see how this offense is going to be so hard to stop. Lamson put on a clinic in the MOF. This is why I said earlier that the offense could be better overall than last year, because they can do it all.
Bad:
I’d love to see the CB’s be allowed to play tighter, but it’s been about 5 years running so it likely will never change. Don’t love it.
Lamson. My guy. It worked out for him yesterday, but sometimes you gotta just give up on the play. I have a love/hate relationship with that style. Ultimately it’s more good than bad I think, but against good teams could get you into trouble.

This week, the combination of the game feeling readily in hand and the rain hit a lot of people in my section. I was there until the last minute, but I was WET! ponchos sold out quickly....

Yeah, Shulikov was hearing footsteps a bit on that play. Dowler had undercut Shulikov on a tackle in the first half and Shulikov had to leave the game for a play or two. You can see Shulikov look up at Dowler on that long pass and that's why he dropped it. 1:21:28 on the video.
If Shulikov makes that catch and they eventually score, the game may have been a bit closer.

Great - the OL. If this is what we’re getting the rest of the way then LTFO. There’s more reasons to think it is than it isn’t. This could get absolutely ridiculous.
Bad - kickoffs and XPs. They have until maybe the semis and probably the final to get it right.

Not sure how you figure not allowing re-entry will have any effect when an awful lot of those who left had no intention of returning.
It also seems you are intimating that someone has to be in the stadium in order to supporting the team. While I have missed maybe 2 plays in the last 15 years, I'm pretty sure there are many people that support the team in ways far beyond their being in the stands 100% of the time. What you deem as "bad support" in the second half is at least partially the result of the team's success. If you were at the SDSU game, I'm sure you noticed that the stands were full throughout the first half, start of the second half and through the 2 OTs.
Personally, I think anyone who buys a ticket can make their own decisions as to when they come and go.

Great:
- Lamson throwing the football continues to be a productive play call!
- OL run blocking - best output they've had all year and you can tell the unit is starting to gel
- Adam Jones - yes Adam you can absolutely use that stiff arm any time you want
- Rocky Lencioni - he's a weapon and you can tell he was a receiver transitioning to a TE with how natural he is catching the ball
- Cole Taylor - every week gentleman...I also just like how Cole has a little Jack Lambert in him
- Neil Daily's pop on that 3rd and 1
- Seth Johnson's physicality in run support
- Carson Williams' peanut punch to force the fumble
- Entire run defense - Paul Brott and Eckart have been dominant in the middle. Quiet...but dominant.
- Our overall physicality
Good:
- Receivers - they had a good day...not a ton of work but when they were needed it was very efficient
- Julius Davis - probably could be great because of his receiving touchdown
- Dom Salano - the 4th DE arguably had the best day of any dlineman. Recorded a sack and it was only the 2nd ISU had given up all year.
- Holding ISU to only 14 points (though some of that was self-inflicted)
Bad:
- We can say how good it was to hold ISU to 14 but we did not have a great or good day in pass coverage. Caden Dowler got beat like a drum in the 1st half (100% responsible for the Nunnaly touchdown) so we switched up coverage in the 2nd half to keep more in front of us but that also led to a lot of easy eating in the middle of the field or on comebackers for their receivers. Cooke also has a great sense for pressure and his arm talent is stupid good so he is very hard to sack despite not being a good runner. Sometimes he would get immediate pressure and just sling it off his backfoot and the ISU receivers are very in tune with their QB so we gave up some chunks on what appeared to be throwaways. However, a lot of this is like what happens when you run into a triple option team...its just a different offense you have to prepare for compared to others on your schedule and they obviously struggled once they got into the redzone which is where a good defense will start to win against that type of offense.
- Thought our starting three of Kenny, Hunter, and Zac didn't win there one-on-ones enough so I'm going to give them a bad game.
- Dumb penalties due to youth.
Bobby Haucks:
- Missing extra points is inexcusable and we are last in the Big Sky at conversion rate. A lot of it starts with the snap and I wouldn't be surprised if we have a developed backup ready to go in future weeks if Brody Johnson doesn't clean it up. Myles also deserves some blame but there is a science to this thing and it all starts with getting that football back to the holder.
- Ranking logic - though it truly doesn't matter until five games happen in the future (UND vs. NDSU, UND vs. SDSU, SDSU vs. NDSU, UM vs. MSU, MSU vs. UC Davis)
- Every teams Super Bowl is the Griz. Did you guys know the only reason we beat ISU was because the Griz softened them up with a hard game the week prior? Love the narratives this time of year.

The first was for 40 yards and led to a hard-earned TD that took 8 plays to cover 25 yards aided by a DPI. Then they hit another bomb on next possession. That was the 13:57 mark of the second quarter. 16 minutes in.
At that point Cooke was 9-12-0, 150 yards, 2 TDs. After that - roughly the next 32 minutes - Cooke was a train wreck or the defense caused him to be one as he went 11-25-1, 157 yards and 0 TDs. 225 rating to 89.
You go four wide all game and you’re going make a few plays. I wasn’t impressed, especially after all the hype.

Agree, not sure why changing coverage and holding a team to 0 points is bad. They were below average in yards and much below points. 10 fewer than next lowest games which included 2 FBS teams.

If you watch again it’s pretty obvious that ISU just scrapped their offensive game plan after the second possession. They caught us a couple times but we fixed that quickly.
It’s hard to change everything you’re doing mid game. You aren’t sharp with it cuz you didn’t work on it as much.
They had size at WR but that was it. Cooke is good but our defense is elite.

Great: Dominating league win, AGAIN, against a team that most of us thought would put up a decent fight.
Good: DEFENSE. I have to say I was skeptical about just how good our defense was going to be considering how many stars we lost. Before the season, someone on the R&R podcast predicted that the Bobcats would easily have the best defense in the country. I thought that seemed unlikely, but I'm starting to believe that might be true.
Bad: Me turning into a total wuss in my old age and letting my buddy talk me into watching the second half at Specs so we could warm up and dry out. lol
Ugly: Nothing I can think of pertaining to the Bobcats on Saturday, so I'll say the Griz win against CP was in fact, ugly.

It was a bold move and showed a lot of confidence. It was in that 4-down area but it was fourth and four and would’ve given ISU good field position to cut it to six points again. Big swing in the game.
Hawkins halftime interview was humorous. He was asking Grace for suggestions on how to stop MSU’s run game.
