Frack, I didn’t want a Friday night game. I already had hotel reservations for Saturday.

If Davis wins, every game will be west of the Mississippi.

Yeah, not a fan of the night games. But will definitely be there screaming my lungs out.

Gosh this pisses me off. Can’t stand 8pm games.

It actually starts a 7pm. The schedule above refers to Central time.

Weather is looking warmer on Saturday compared to Friday night. So that's good for a cold night game against a Texas team.

Friday night lights. Not my preference but gives us an opportunity to see the rest of the teams play and possibly one additional day of rest/prep.

I wonder what the W-L record for home teams in night FCS playoff games is? I know MSU has lost at home to shsu and beat shsu on the road.

Won versus Idaho last year and wasn’t the William and Mary game a Friday night game?

Sfa will be formidable. I watched them play several times this year. Might be the fastest team we see. They always have 1-2 quality wrs and typically have at least one db that either gets drafted or is an undrafted FA. Their defense is aggressive, play a lot of man. Their HC is an old Texas high school football coach and he breeds that tough nosed mentality into his team. They have a good qb that can sling it. We'll need to get our stuff together cause they will pose a bit different of a challenge because of the speed element.

Hopefully we come out and play better because we will need to, I have to ask again if part of the reason for the team playing distracted is if Vigen to Wazzu rumors are causing it. He only didn't take the job last time because they weren't willing to wait for the playoffs, what if they do it this time?

The team definitely was not in sync on offense today. We play like that next week against SFA and home field or not, it may be over.
Imagine watching UM go to Nashville instead of the Bobcats. A horrible thought. I was so in hopes that SDSU would win today.

Are there any legitimate Vigen to WSU rumors out there? He's going to be an obvious name speculated any time a job like that opens up but I haven't seen any actual reporting that he's a candidate there.

Winners focus on winning and losers focus on winners. The Cats found a way to win today, despite a not-so-great game. That’s what winners do. Whether it was the Vigen departure rumors, the emotional let-down after Cat-griz, too much time off, or something else… this was about as good of a situation the fellas could’ve had for a bad game.
Here’s to hoping they knocked of the rust and have things dialed in for SFA.

Time will tell if they are willing to wait. My money is they don't wait. Until we know for sure, I'm pretty positive that Vigen and the team are focused on this next game. If we somehow lose on Friday, that might change things drastically, but I'm putting money on a bounce back game. The team got humbled a bit by this Yale game and I'm sure it lit a much needed fire under their asses for the home stretch. Practice won't be too fun for the boys this week. Wouldn't be surprised at all if we play our most complete games of the season on Friday.

I like the quick turn around for this game. Need to get back onto the field and focus on tackling, containing the edge and getting the Offense back into a rhythm early. SFA is going to a completely different look than Yale, which makes the post season so much fun. Different styles, different schemes, and different athletes competing for the final 4.
I like our chances, and inspite of my pregame posting for Yale, I felt like the game went about the way I thought it would. We won!
It’s great getting them into our stadium at night with a chill in the air…couldn’t be better!

Today was a weird day. Its not hard to see how to move the ball against us and put up yards. Yale came out and executed for the most part but had several costly mistakes. I don't know how many teams will execute as consistently as they did.
On offense, we had a couple shots that were there and would have blown the game open. We didn't get them and put ourselves behind the sticks and let them hang around. And yet in the forth we were up 15 and driving the ball to close out the game. If Lamson holds on there, I think we had finally taken their spirit and were on the way to making it a 3 score game and we're having completely different conversations.
Im surprised that people go so hard on Sterbick about being stubborn when to me it seems like Howe has been having that exact problem lately. Yale has 1 really good receiver and instead of switching gears and putting our best corner on him on every play, we continuously let them scheme him onto a lb or safety and pick up big plays.
