I appreciate Vigen's take on what happened. MSU is fortunate to have a coach who invests in his players, knows them, and seeks to protect them.

Perhaps everyone had a Heart Check moment, and saw that there is always room for improvement, and forgiveness.

Yes. And a reminder of who they are, how they represent, and the expectations moving forward. Crews basically said the same thing in his interview. There is a process at the end of games. All the players are very aware, now, of what that process is.
Having that whole thing happen on national television sucks, but team stuff needs to be handled internally, and was. None of us watching, whether at the stadium or on tv, knew what was being said, or the whole context at the time. With Julius's post, along with Vigen's statement, we can all just move on now.

Our reporters are sure lucky for Vigen’s patience. I do not think many coaches would of entertained all the questions surrounding Julius after his initial comment

He is so professional. Despite whether you agree or not with how he handled things, it's his to handle. He's the "dad" of this team. I don't always agree with how other people parent their kids, but I only know part of the story, the public part. What happens at home, or locker room, I am not privy to.

I enjoy his openness and willingness to answer questions professionally, patiently, and respectfully, but also intelligently and with valuable information about the previous game and the next one. So happy he is the Bobcats head coach rather than the one across the mountains who can hardly form a complete sentence, and scowls and glares the whole time.

Well said @nanacat. I completely respect how Vigen has handled this along with his overall approach and demeanor to both fans and the media.

Honestly,

This whole Davis thing is so overblown. Time to prep for a tough opponent in SFA.

Seems like Vigen has a good handle on what they bring to Bobcat Stadium.

So. Over. Blown. It was an emotional moment between two people who love and respect each other. Who the F are any of us to judge how they handled it. It was a chippy game
I feel like Yale had a strategy to talk, to get us off our game, to play past the whistle, and it worked. Vigen has been through a million postgame handshake lines. If he felt it best to intervene on Julius' behalf and try to defuse it, that's good enough for me.

The vast majority would.

Great interview! I can see why he’s such a successful coach!
