Here we go game of the century, basically for the national championship. Cats need to show up and make sure we keep our homefield advantage. This is going to be a barn burner both teams firing on all cylinders ready for a clash. I for one can't wait for this ultimate matchup! Go Cats Go!

This will be for literally all the marbles. Assuming the winner wins the natty, this literally couldn’t get any bigger. If we win, we put an exclamation point on dominating the Gris, throw our hat in the ring for a potential run that can challenge NDSU, and have something to hold onto forever. If the Gris win, we can kiss all these notions of being the better program goodbye. They will have won a championship before us during the “golden age” of MSU football. They will forever attract the best transfers, and Gris fans will literally NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT IT. This is an incredibly large game. I have a bowling ball in my stomach. I hope we bring our A game. Otherwise, these past 2 years will be both the best teams and the most bitter endings in my memory.

Though the winner will be favored we should not assume we have it and overlook Villanova, ISU or Davis. 1 week at a time though so it should be all on the Griz

You’re right about most of that, but if they win, they will not in any way become a dynasty. Hauck 2.0 has gambled on the portal every season. This year it paid off. I love that we develop players, however, I wouldn’t mind if we were able to land a dude from the portal like Wortham.

Do we know how bad Brott’s injury was? Gray looks to be fine, but we will 100% need Brott.

Wow doom and gloom. It will mean they beat the Cats in 1 game and a split for the season. Cats didn't really go after same # of transfers so don't think it will impact that. Might say something about senior laden transfer team vs young mostly HS recruited team. And to say they are the better program based on that is ridiculous

I’d say this is an over reaction.

It will take an incredible effort by UM to beat us. Fans needs to understand this.

The griz have played 10 games at home. Only 4 on the road and 2 of those games were against the 2 worst teams in the conference. I don’t think it’s a stretch to think their offense won’t function as well out of the friendly confines. Current forecast is mid 30’s, rain snow mix.

IF... IF... we lose, which I don't think we will... But if we lose next week, there is no way that we will be going anywhere. If you think that this team and program is going anywhere regardless of the outcome... You are mistaken.
Our program is built on development, and our players develop a complete different philosophy, mindset, and culture than the team across the divide does. We rely on grooming our players in a success proven system. Their team relies heavily on transfers. Transfers are great, but mass transfers are not sustainable. Players come and go and it's impossible to keep a culture and continuity. Hauck is their curse. He drives players out, and when things don't go well, they typically implode and lose half of their roster, where he has to start building all over again. This year, he has done well. He probably won't have to rebuild as much next year. This means they are likely aren't going anywhere next year as well.
If Vigen leaves after this year or the next, I know our program isn't going anywhere because of what he and Leon have built. Vigen's teams have proven MSU a destination for players who want to come in, learn how to be a winner, and have successful seasons year in year out. We have been to Semifinals in 5 of the last 6 years. We have the chance to be in 3 Natty's in the last 5 years. We are here to stay. Success breeds success when done the right way. We have absolutely done things the right way. I like our chances of title contending in the FCS for the next decade with how we are currently set up, regardless of the outcome of next week's game!
