The Adam Jones Factor

You know how in years past, Tommy would take the team on his back and will them to a win by pouring on that extra effort? I feel like Adam is playing that role this year, especially in the playoffs, and even since Cat-Griz. I mean last year's Cat-Griz was the Adam Jones show, but in the last few games he just seems to be hitting another level. I do think he is a major team leader, and the rest of the team certainly rally around him and follow his lead and intensity. The semi final game will be epic for sure, but my gut tells me that Adam Jones will be a key factor in that game, especially because he seems extra determined to hand the griz a loss, and rub Bobby's nose in the fact that he didn't recruit him.

So glad he's a Bobcat!!

I think an underrated edge we have against montana is using Adam as a receiver out of the backfield. Pretty hard to both blitz and cover the back, and he has receiver skills coming from back there. I'd look for that early and often.

I agree. The Griz will Blitz early and often which means voids on the field, I don’t think Lamson & Co will exploit that.

Adam has become a Bobcat great and he is only a sophomore. Crazy! So glad he came to Bozeman.

I thought that Bobby was recruiting him but when the Zac Crews stuff came down with Bobby, then Adam committed to the Cats.

They can. Lamson needs to play like he did in Cat-gris 1.0 and be decisive with the ball. Keep those hurries to a minimum and get the ball out quickly. Head on a swivel and all that…

Did it look like Jones was injured on Friday? Maybe knocked his head? I know he came back in but wasn't sure how it will effect him.

We literally already did exploit. Do MSU fans know we played a game against these guys a few weeks back? Feel like I'm taking crazy pills with some of the talk I see on this board. I'm going to keep saying it...we match up well with them and feeding into the narratives they create is exactly what they want.

Three weeks ago most people here believed SDSU would truck them. Now, um is somehow in the driver’s seat for the whole enchilada.

Sportsbet has Jones at -1000 to score a touchdown in the game, so even the books are predicting a huge influence from him.

I 100 percent agree! I’m just struck why @MountainCat thinks we won’t exploited that. We have and we will.

Despite playing a 4 man front, SFA tried similar things to what UM does defensively so we couldn’t run the ball. So what happened? Lamson diced em up, just like he did against UM.

I know Loud being back for them will certainly help, but what they do schematically is just going to struggle against a good OL. They’re going to blitz a lot and somebody is going to be open, just like last time.

And didn't SFA have a DB that is going to get drafted? For all the griz losers on here have said about Loud I don't think they've claimed he's an NFL talent.

That corner did not play against us. But Kyon Loud is the greatest cover corner to ever play and we will now not be able to run or throw because he can cover two people and they can now load the box.
