Frisco vs Nashville

Post by CatfaninGA » Sun Dec 21, 2025 9:07 pm

Kind of wonder how this is going to turn out fan wise. Frisco was fun with lots to do in and around the area and the local bars did a good job with signage welcoming fans etc.

Frisco stadium sucked and now this years game is on campus at a small stadium for an SEC Stadium standard but it will be more fan friendly for sure.

Everything in Frisco was pretty spread out if you wanted to go exploring while in Nashville everything is all in one decent area with a ton of things to do and places to party.

We will be making the drive up on Saturday from Atlanta and hitting the town and playing tourist a little bit as well.

Hopefully the weather is a little warmer than it was last year in Frisco that wind and cold was brutal.

Safe travels to all Bobcats making the journey!

I think the Cats turnout will be better than last year. The main reason being we're not playing NDSU. If I had to put a number on it, 12,000 +. Fans from both sides are going to be in the same 3 or 4 mile area, which will be very different than Frisco. Broadway isnt going to know what hit it.

Wife and I are in Thomasville, one brother in Effingham County (near Savannah) and another brother in Statesboro-all of us driving up for the game. Planning on going to the pep rally on Sunday. I love that this is a day drive for us!

Besides the Bobcat bash on Sunday, anyone know if there is a host bar or facility like we had in Frisco last year?

With how expensive flights are right now, I doubt that. 15k maybe.

Fly into Atlanta it’s only a 4 hour drive to Nashvegas.

I would also check Knoxville, Memphis and Huntsville as well. I can't believe that Allegiant doesn't have any flights. They usually have a great nonstop flight to Nashville. Right now they begin in Feb. but they could sure fill a few plane loads if they wanted to. Personally, I'm flying into Huntsville but that's because my sister lives there. My roundtrip ticket was 850 from BZN but I booked it several weeks ago.Certainly no bargain. For the extra driving time ATL would probably be the best bet. Also, Louisville is only 2 1/2 hours away.

Delta had a non-stop into Atlanta….not sure it’s still running.

What do you guys all think for a crowd in Nashville? I thought we were 60-40 over the Bison last year in the stadium. Maybe had 11-12k there? Being a new city and off the high of beating the griz twice, being a heavy favorite, no NDSU, I'm hoping we have at least 15k down there. Is that too optimistic?

Flights everywhere are ridiculously priced right now. They were a month ago as well. I think 15K is the max we see. I'd guess closer to 12K.

Flights are crazy. Insanely crazy. And the other guys can drive there. Hoping its not a "homegame" for them.

They are an FCS team smack dab in the middle of Big Ten territory, in a state with 7 DI programs. They have fans, but not enough to outnumber us.

Their average home attendace was around 9200 this year. I’d guess maybe half of those are able to do the trip so around 5k - rough guess?

Nashville is notoriously difficult to fly into, for whatever reason. It helps explain why the airfare is high.

Doesn't matter. It will be worth it.

I'm stoked for Nashville. It's looking to be an all-around better host city than Frisco... by a mile. See you in Nash-Vegas!

griz fans; keeping it classy and gracious in winning since ... well, never.

I booked my tickets from SLC and will rent a car to get there. Saved $2500 dollars and that’s including a one way from SLC to BZN
