Hello Cats Fans, my name is Mark Doherty and I am the father of Delaney Doherty, a 17 year-old Manhattan high school student who was killed by an impaired driver in August 2023.

To honor the life and legacy of Delaney, we created the Delaney Doherty Memorial Scholarship Foundation. We give out scholarships to area high school students to pursue college or trade school. We’ve given out over $25,000 in the last two years. You can check out our foundation here:

I wanted to post here and make all of you aware of an amazing jersey auction that is taking place to raise funds for the foundation. Both the Dowler brothers and Gillman brothers autographed jerseys for us to auction off. The auction is live and will end at midnight on New Year’s Eve. Sorry for the late notice, it took me a little while to get my account activated here to post this.

We found it absolutely amazing that two sets of brothers from rival schools have all come together to do something bigger than football. I thought it was really cool that one of them is the offensive player of the year and the other is the defensive player of the year as well.
