Championship Commemorative Jerseys

Last year, Underarmour did special jerseys for NDSU as champions of the FCS. If that is a precedent, I mocked up how I would love to see our uniforms for next season. Honestly, I would love our uniforms to look like this always. Also attaching a detail shot of a UA Notre Dame jersey so you can see how the metallic gold thread looks in real life.

Speaking of which, in 20 years when we wear the 2025 throwbacks, which jerseys will they be? Gold/blue/gold from the championship game? White/blue/white from Super Brawl? A different combo with the cat head helmet?

Gotta be gold blue gold, right? We will be looking at pictures of the championship game for the next 25 years. That's the image that will be retro.

This upcoming season will be the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Bobcats national championship team. It would be great to recognize that team in some way, at the very least a small decal on the back of the helmet commemorating their championship.

If they do special jerseys I hope they're better than the ones NDSU had this year. Shiny numbers look great in photos and videos but are distracting and hard to read during the game. I'd be happy with a jersey patch and/or helmet sticker as in my opinion MSU's current uniforms are damn near perfect.

I'll take shiny numbers over under water camo any day. I agree that we shouldn't mess with perfection. Just add a patch/sticker.

I agree I would MUCH prefer they do the trim in gold, not the body of the number. Basically just take the identical uniform we wore this year, but make the gold metallic. Do what Notre Dame does already. Theirs aren't too flashy at all in my opinion (the jerseys, not helmet). But to me the metallic gold thread and appliqués match our helmets better and add a little bit of pop to our uni set. They also match our gold stripes and M on the white helmet much better. UA's standard "gold" is pretty light and very tan/cream. Not anything our EQ guys can do about that, they do a fantastic job, and I love the aesthetic direction our program has taken since Choate put us in UCLA stripes around 2018 or whatever it was.
