Here are some links to see who has moved for the FCS across the national landscape. These are updated everyday by Zach McKinnell, who is pretty reliable for FCS, up there with Herder.

Yeah the Editor made an error on that one and doubled him up for whatever reason. Someone joked on another thread that Wilson Cloned himself
Other than that little mistake, I'm actually quite thankful for these trackers. It's cool to see someone take the time to update the done deals for every FCS related Transfer Prospect. My respect goes out to McKinnell from SI for updating these. He's done great this year covering the FCS.

It's interesting to see that NDSU isn't getting busy in the portal so far either, even thought they lost a heck of a lot more than we did. NDSU and MSU must be waiting for the smoke to clear and snag some FBS dropdowns that couldn't find a landing spot/payday laterally at another FBS school.

I have a hard time believing we won't get at least a few transfers. We are going to be very picky with our transfers due to our extremely limited spots, but we will get at least 2 eventually.
You are right though about NDSU. Maybe they had a big recruiting class and feel that they can reload next year with their young talent. They lost a lot of starters through grad and portal, they will have a whole new look next year, similarly to how MSU went into this year. It will be interesting to see if NDSU responds as well as MSU did this year to all the changes. I fully believe it is realistic they see each other in Nashville next year.

I think the challenge comes with players that are developing quite nicely and starting to compete. They start to wonder why they’re not getting repetitions. usually around their sophomore year. Takes a special coach to be able to help that player. Keep his mind on the goal and to be patient while still improving Sometimes just marginally to taking the next step. MSU was starting to do that and DSU has done that for quite a while.

I think it's going to be tough for them to make it to Nashville... but I also have huge respect for what they've done and I'm sure they are going to be tough. I've been banging the NDSU drum forever and how damn good that program is so yes I am waffling on them here. I think they'll win their first six gams and then things start to get tough. The last six games are vs SDSU, at USD, at Youngstown, Indiana State, Illinois State, at UND. I think it's a tall order for them to make it through all that and still end up at a top 2 seed.

I'll start betting against NDSU when they have about ten 2-10 seasons in a row, their football facilities burn to the ground, and their state economy craters. Even then, I won't bet much.

NDSU just lost it's 8th starter (a captain) to the portal today. This is on top of *huge* graduation losses including their 3rd place Walter Payton QB, their star RB, and Bryce Lance who is probably the top FCS guy in the draft. I am sure they are a great program and will put a strong team on the field nonetheless, but it is hard to imagine that they will not be substantially down from where they were this year and it is hard to imagine that they will have a squad that will not significantly trail ours in both talent and experience.
Still gotta win the actual game though as we discovered in 2024-- and they discovered this year vs. Illinois State.

Who have they brought in to replace these guys? I assume they are the top FCS destination for transfers and unlike the grizzLLies they probably have depth behind the guys that left. I assume they'll still be ranked in the top 3 or 4 and will deserve it. They might be a step or two behind us in September but by December I expect them to be right there. 2026 would likely be an ideal year to play them in the non-conference schedule.

The portal losses are pretty extreme this year for NDSU. Not sure what that is all about. NIL, coaches, players just not happy??? Just not characteristic for NDSU to loss this many quality players.
