Looks like I can do 30k in frequent flyer miles to get there. And its a 7pm flight out of Bozeman Friday. Or 3pm. But still can work friday.

Anyone have an idea on where to stay in Reno? Grand Sierra casino is $248 for Friday and Saturday night. Is that an OK place?

How much game tickets usually are at their games?

I’ve spent a lot of nights at the Grand Sierra for work, it’s a decent place to stay, several solid restaurants there to choose from, it has what you need for a simple weekend.

For resort Casino Hotels I would rank:

1. Grand Sierra
2. Peppermill
3. Atlantis
4. Silver Legacy/Eldorado down town. Even Circus Circus has nice large rooms.
5. I haven't stayed at J Resort, since remodeled from The Sands but online it looks pretty nice.

All of the above will have dining options, full gambling. Grand Sierra is huge, and will have a lot of options for families and kids. A lot of people say downtown isn't safe, but I have spend a lot of time wandering between Cal Neva, Sands and Silver Legacy and never felt unsafe.

GSR and Peppermill and a long drive from downtown, so I'd recommend staying at a hotel on Virginia Street. They have a bus that's free that runs up and down Virginia multiple times per hour. J Resort is only a couple blocks off Virginia, so it's a decent option as well.

I should maybe put this under random but last night reading about Nevada football. In 1991 they trailed weber State by 42 in a playoff game and won.

Been to Reno more than several times. Grand Sierra and Peppermill by far are the best casinos in town but are very self contained resorts. They are 10-15 minute drive to get to Campus. If you stay downtown, it can be a little seedy but there are more things to do, bars, breweries and AAA baseball (D-Backs). El Dorado and Silver Legacy are the best that have full casinos with circus circus being a little cheaper and without gaming tables (at least the last time I was there). Downtown is a few blocks from the south end of campus, however the stadium is on the north end of the campus (uphill).

That was a regular season game and the largest lead for Weber was 49-14 early in the third quarter. Nevada came back to win 55-49 and it's still tied for the largest comeback in NCAA D-1 football history.

Thanks for the correction. For some reason, I had it in my head that it was a conference championship game and at one point the score was 49–7 apparently memory failed me.

The casinos on Virginia do, which would be Silver Legacy, El Dorado, and Circus Circus. If you're looking at not renting a car, I would certainly choose one of those three hotels. Everything you need will be right on Virginia.

Can we just play the game in Tahoe? I would be down to stay in Stateline. Did that once and rememeber there was a fantastic seafood buffet.

The reputation of the Circus Circus Buffet used to be terrible. We have been gone from the area going on 8 years now and had not gone there for a few years before that. So, who knows…

I was there 40 years ago and the Nugget out in Sparks was a fantastic seafood buffet on Friday nights. You wouldn't think they would change much in just 40 years.

The Asquagas (sp) family sold around 2012ish so hopefully no major changes were made.The restaurants were darned good.

Nevada put us up in the Grand Sierra when we were there on a recruiting visit, it was nice.. very Vegas like if you like that. Lots of casino atmosphere in the first floor, restaurants, entertainment, shopping. Quick to airport and to the stadium. I think if I went back I would rather stay somewhere less Vegas.. that’s just not my favorite
