Coach Durham was on KBOZ sports call in show at noon with Dave Visscher and Terry Michael (good show by the way-at noon everyday on 1090 KBOZ).

They were talking that this time of year was nice and quiet for Durham as everybody was talking football. He even said the Bobcat Nation chat room was all football right now.

So there you have it-coach Durham is checking in!

The team is loaded up with 7 newcomers and he didn't expect to be picked very high, but he really likes his new guys.

I saw Al Beye, the guy from Senegal, at the last home football game. He was standing in the student section. It was pretty funny as he was head and shoulders taller than everyone else and really stood out.

It will be nice to have some height this year. Towsley is about 6'10" and Beye is 6'11".

Now back to football.

Kramer was on the show too. He felt this weekend would come down to turnovers. Whoever turns it over the most will lose. He's probably right on that one. We've got to keep Travis from throwing those backbreaking interceptions on our side of the field (2 against Cal Poly, and one against CSU).

Dangit, I got busy and tuned in late and only heard the last five minutes with Durham. Glad he is enjoying the board though. Looking forward to Bobcat basketball this year, should be interesting.

One thing I heard Kramer say was that Milton is definately #1 now and should get a good chance to show. Let's hope we get the lead and let him run out the clock all day at ISU.

Not to do any anti-marketing for the site or anything, but if I was a coach, this (or any other message board) would be the last place that I would be. From past experiences with finance message boards (Yahoo Finance, mostly), it ranges from hilarious to teeth-grating frustration when you read very... ummm... confidently spoken opinions expressed by participants critical of your company and things it is doing when it is obvious (both in terms of what they are saying and in terms of things that aren't public so they can't know it) that they have no idea what they are talking about.

That little tangent was my way of trying to relate to what a coach must go through each time one of us wahoos rips on them when it is obvious that we are working with only slivers of information. Sometimes we might be right, but more often, I assume it has to be grating for a coach to read anything in here. If they are able to do it and not drop kick their monitor, they have much more self-control and humility than most people.

That being said, I love all of the great posts we are getting in here, so keep it up, positive or (thoughtfully) critical!
