Anyone know what's up with Martin Henderson?
The game notes prior to the ISU game said that he wasn't making the trip to ID, but he was listed as backup corner.
Sunday notes say that we're basically burning the shirt of true frosh Ryan Kelley at cornerback.
The few times I saw Henderson, I though he was pretty good. Anyone know something?

Henderson missed several meetings during the week, ...and the coup d' gras... he missed the team bus! Dan Davies found him and got him to Pocatello like ten minutes before game time where he found out that Kramer had already called the registrar and cancelled his scholarship. Three strikes and you're out!

How many chances do these kids need? His roomates said they hadn't even seen him all week...don't know if he was shacked up or what.
Result: We have two CB's that can play for the rest of the season unless we burn a frosh's redshirt!

unbelievable.
Thanks for the info. Sorry to see a kid just mess up his present and his future, but hopefully Henderson will learn a lesson.
Sounds like we need Kelley to step up. I've been impressed with Austin and Fuller, but I still miss the days of Joey.
Go Cats.

Unbelievable choice he made. Kudos to Kramer for giving him the boot. These kids are getting a chance at an education and if they don't want it give it to someone else. Might be a long season at corner but think about the years to come. These two freshman are getting a ton of experience just like Kane, Joey, etc. did as freshman. Great move coach - build a program don't look for easy wins.

Agree. Kramer did the right thing.

I guess this explains the reason why he wasn't getting much playing time, since we were all wondering about it through the first few weeks. What a punk. I just can't believe how some kids throw away such an amazing opportunity. I would have given my left arm to play for the Cats! I agree with the comments about Kramer - that is a very tough decision to make, especially when our secondary is in the shape that it is, but he absolutely did the right thing. Kramer has shown time and again that he doesn't put up with any crap, and he doesn't treat you differently just because of the name on the back of your jersey. In the long run, this is a tremendous character-building quality for our coaches, our team, and our program.

I have some close family that bleed griz colors. They constantly b!tch that Kramer recruits thugs and bad seeds from other I-A schools. Maybe, but what kind of message does this send them. I think it is GREAT that Kramer yanked this kids money!!! Good job COACH. Yeah, I was all excited to see that we got this kid, and I too had ?'s for not playing him, but Kramer was more aware and that is why he makes the calls.
once again GOOD JOB COACH

I was pretty impressed with the way this kid played. Too bad he couldn't pull it together, especially with the injury bug decimating our secondary.

Parting note to Henderson...If you can't be on time, BE EARLY!
Maybe the worst/best example of this type of activity I ever heard of took place during the Washington-Washington State game 3 or 4 years ago. The Cougars went into the locker room way behind. Their starting running back changed into his street cloths, got in his pickup and left forever.
