Interesting recruit tid bits.....

It seems the Griz have got their first mens basketball commit of the year a 6-2 off guard who is known as a outstanding shooter. The thing is he actually rated as a much better prospect as a football player than a basketball player. As a football quartback he was considered a player who could go D-1a . As a basketball player he is mentioned as a possible D-1 OR D-2 player. The thing is though he can flat out shoot the three point shot and Kysco is said to be emphasizing shooter (as well as true low post big men) this this recruiting season.
Last year Jordan Hasquet of Missoula Sentinal signed with the Griz and was not even offered by the Cats (they signed Owsley instead). Last year (as in 13 months ago) the Cats did though offer (then a Junior) Kellen Hasquet Jordans little brother ( before anyone had offered Jordan). This year I am told Kysco and the Griz have flat out not recruited Kellen, at all. Durham on the other hand is extreemly high on Kellen and have him as a fall signing period priority. The Griz do not think he is D-1 calibur and Durham projects he will be one of the better d-1 basketball out of Montana in quite a while. Kellen I am told is taking an official vist to Bozeman this week-end, no Official visit to UM campus in the forseable future.
A couple of thoughts.
Can anyone think of a time when two brothers a, year apart in age, ever played against one another in a Bobcat / Griz Game. Did the Hurley Brothers go at it?
In this game of evaluating talent Kysco vrs. Durham who would you bet on. One thing for sure Durham can afford to be wrong on this one, but can Kysco?
