Adventures in Flagstaff

What a great day to be a BOBCAT!!!!!
I got to Flagstaff several hours early for once. I usually get there right at game time (when the CATS are there). I got to the stadium a couple hours early and ran into some other CAT fans. We were invited to join a nau tailgate until the ALUMNI ASSOCIATION showed up. Turns out a few of the gals were from Montana and we knew several of the same people. There was a nice turn out for the Alumni get-together. Lots of parents and bunches of alumni from Phoenix.
Prior to the game, the nau team, cheerleaders, and band marched through the tailgating crowd. Several nau students had signs that said that the CATS were the worst team in the BSC. Henman and Perigo were the last two players to walk thru the crowd. People were congradulating them for coming to a better team and that they were gonna show MSU that MSU missed the boat on not recruiting them. I had to keep a think skin and internalize my laughter. But now, LMFAO!!!!!!
What more needs to be said about the game itself. Holy cow, what a huge can of whoop a$$. The MSU crowd was louder than the nau crowd. Of course we has something to cheer for. We totally dominated BOTH sides of the ball. It was a thing of beauty. Lots of young kids got to see some playing time and as a whole, things look promising. Our qb's need more work, but there is time for that.
From what I saw and heard, both of the Wolf boys have dinged up ankles. Zach had hurt his in practice during the week, and obviously Blake during the game. Zach played through his and I saw Blake running up and down the sideline shortly after his injury. I'm sure it will be tender, but looks as if he will be just fine.
I think the main reason our offense didn't look as sharp in the 2nd half is because several young combinations of kids were in there. That had to be the only area of preparation that the coaching staff overlooked. We had some talent on the field though.
I read the GAME DAY POSTS, and if you guys are willing to take up an offering, I will be glad to be the lucky charm for the games this year. I know that I could make the EWU game, and I already have airline tix to msla and seats for the big game. I would like to think that we could handle suc state and I could rest one week.
In all honesty, I am gonna sit right here and listen to the next two games. I am going to save my money so that when the CATS run the table and host a playoff game in Bozeman, I will be able to go home, eat turkey with the rest of my family, and watch the game at MSU.
