Both well-deserved.

By the way....how come Lulay is not on the Payton Watch list?

Congrats to Lulay once again!

As for why he is not on the Payton list, it is because until three weeks ago he had never put up the kind of numbers that are necessary to be even considered. He is a great QB and a definate winner, but those awards are largely numbers based and he has never had those type of numbers.

kmax,
i agree with that assessment.
Can the Payton Watch list be updated at this late date?

HelenaCat, yes they go through revisions. They have already had one this year. From the article on that revision at the SportNetwork site:
The official "Payton Watch" and "Buchanan Battle" lists will undergo two additional revisions prior to the distribution of ballots on November 22nd. The next revisions will be announced November 3rd, and the final changes will be made just prior to the distribution of ballots. The ballots will be mailed electronically to the media and I-AA sports information directors selected for the voting process on November 22nd, and will be due Wednesday, November 24th. The top three finalists (in terms of votes received) for the Walter Payton Award will be invited to attend the presentation in Chattanooga, TN, with the winner of that Award not announced until the event.

Okay, not to be too picky, but how can you honestly put Wiser's game up there with Travis'? Seriously!?!? Travis had an absolutely perfect, amazing game, and he barely even played in the 2nd half. Wiser had a pretty solid game, but to compare it with the game Travis played is pretty much an insult.
