Will MSU ever replace the center hung scoreboard?

Post by CatfaninGA » Fri Jan 08, 2010 8:54 pm

That thing is so out of date. I remember when they brought it into the Fieldhouse it was state of the art. It's time for a new one. Not saying we need something like the Dallas Cowboys have, but an upgrade would be nice.

It's also pretty bad looking especially when most of the lightbulbs are burned out on the numbers and the graphics are from the 80's

Just curious.

Fields has said that is a priority, something about the company not making replacement parts for it anymore, so it if ever breaks down completely it is going to be very costly. There is a thread about it on the football board I'm too lazy to find it for you. :)

I was surprised tonight...the scoreboard was working better than I've seen in a few years. They had the animations working again. For all of the tournaments, Bobcat games, and other events that use that scoreboard, it needs to be replaced. In the last few years, there have been too many malfunctions with that thing, and the shot clocks seem to die at least once every season. It would be great to get a new one from Daktronics with LED video replay, and get everything working just right in the Fieldhouse again.

GO CATS!
It's always a good day to be a Bobcat fan! :) =D^ \:D/
My name is Steve, if you'd like to know.
