I'm not sure how many minutes Budinich got last night, but I would have liked to have seen more of him. In the limited playing time he got, he went 3-3 from the floor for 8 points. He was really stroking it well.

Watched part of the game last night, it was my first time seeing this team play. I was truly impressed by our athletisism. We were still a little out of control at times but we could make up for it unlike other years where we had to play perfect to have a shot because we didn't have the athletes to just beat people. Dison looked very impressive, I feel very good about him taking over the point. Fall and Johnson look long and very athletic, not the biggest guys but they make it work. All in all, this team doesn't strike me as going to the dance but they are hell a fun to watch!

Nice effort from the freethrow line.

Actually, there were a lot of things to like about the game. For the first half, the team as a whole looked pretty solid. Running well, defending well, getting turnovers. It seems in the second half, they took the pedal off the gas and got mentally lazy. I suppose the good thing is, if they ever stay in the game mentally the whole way, they're going to be pretty tough. It was unfortunate that they came out the second half and right away Singleton threw the ball away a couple of times and took a bad shot. Huse got him out quickly, but one would hope that the senior point guard would not be setting such a negative tone right out of the locker room. Dison is a real talent, he just needs his brain to catch up to the rest of him.

I think that this team is still learning to play together. I do like some of the things that I was seeing last night. Both Fall and Johnson did a great job of blocking shots and really skying for the ball. At times being able to see Moon or Blount hit the long range three to stretch the Sac's defense. Also I think we are starting to see that Trey Johnson turn into heck of a player. There isn't much on the floor that he can't do.

Its kind of nice to finally see an athletic team that can stay with the other teams in the Big Sky. Sac State did expose some defensive weaknesses and ran some great plays. They had a couple of nice young players on their team that will wreak havoc in the future.

Team should be fun to watch to see what happens.
