Great job! Nice to finally get a win this year over our friends from the west this year...up next in the semis is UNC after Sac beat EWU earlier.

The ladies seem to feel at home on ISU's home court, One down, two to go! GO BOBCATS!

Congratulations...great win for the MSU women!! They helped Bobcat fans hold onto our dignity, by preventing a sweep by UM in the 3 major sports. It's pretty sweet to knock the defending champs out of the tourney, especially after getting swept by them during the regular season. Sac State is scary though...they've now won 5 straight, and are currently playing as well as any team in the BSC.Early in the season, I thought EWU was the best team in the league, and Sac handled them fairly easily tonight. I'm tempted to pick them over ISU. It sure would be nice to see MSU playing for the title on Saturday afternoon...go Cats!!

Apparently there's some validity to the old axiom about it being difficult to beat a team 3 teams in a season. I hope that theory is blasted into the stratosphere tomorrow night though, since we swept UNC this year.

Thank you women's basketball team. Good win for their program and nice win for the athletic department in 2012 and the fans.

Maybe Binford can start coaching our men's team as well...

I think her uptempo playing style would better fit the atheletes on the men's team. Why don't we get her cloned? We have a good science department right? :-k

Oh, and GOOD JOB LADIES! Keep it up. This team has been a bright spot in an otherwise dreary 2012!

The article in the Tribune (which was of course buried on page 5....probably would have been front page if UM had won) stated that we play top-seeded ISU tonight in the semi-finals. That's not correct though, is it? Since #6 seed Sac upset #3 EWU, and is the lowest remaining seed, I think they will play ISU and we'll play #2 UNC. The Trib also had MSU as the #5 seed and UM as #4, when of course it was actually the other way around. And no....I'm not being over-sensitive!! :) God, I'm so glad we finally beat them in something!!

Really? Page 5!? Oh well. They can't even get the seeds right or who plays who. Yes, we play UNC, not ISU. Wow.

Like you I'm forever grateful to the 2012 WBB team. They were our last hope to get a win over UM and they came through. Not only beat them, but knocked them out for the year. UM didn't do that to us this year. I'd rather win one game in the tourney than two in the season, so they pretty much wiped those losses out as well. At least in my small world.

Agreed...post season wins count double, sort of like a skunk in cribbiage. So in my world as well, I consider the MSU and UM women even for the year.
