Flavien Davis, MSU women's hoops

Post by Colter_Nuanez » Sat Feb 02, 2013 1:17 pm

Greetings ladies and gents,

I won't be at the MSU women's basketball game against Portland State this afternoon. I'm in MIssoula for the funeral of Ken Staninger. Some of you may have read about Ken's passing, as he was a big-time sports agent and commercial real estate broker here in Missoula. He was also my next door neighbor across from my parents for the last 20 years.

I will try to have a short recap of both MSU hoops games up online sometime this evening. In the mean time, here's a profile on MSU men's basketball player Flavien Davis. It's worth a read. He has some good perspective on the grind of getting a D-I scholarship as well as the transition from JC to the Big Sky. And for all you non-subscribers, it's free!

Check back tomorrow morning for some pre-Super Bowl reading about the off-season conditioning program the MSU football team is going through. Until then, enjoy!.

THE GRIND: Perseverance landed Flavien Davis at MSU

Sounds like his head is in the right place. This is his shot at a better life and he knows it; we can use more guys like him! Hope he stays on that path and graduates.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.
