Starts at 8:30 MST.
Paul Egwuonwu is out with a concussion-so that probably seals our fate as we don't have anyone else that can score inside and he's our best rebounder too.
We'll need to shoot better than 30 percent like we did on Thursday night.

You wouldn't think MSU could shoot that poorly two games in a row based on how they've played the last month, but they'll need to have a good night shooting with Egwuonwu out. Should be another nail-biter. Hopefully they can make plays down the stretch.

How is it that Budinich gets any minutes..no D, shoots almost every time he touches the ball and the end result is usually a brick. Just doesnt seem like a team player. I am usually not someone who says anything negative about a player, but he is touph to watch. Brumwell might not be much of an offensive presence at this point in his career, but atleast the kid plays defense, pulls down some boards and dishes the rock when he doesnt have a shot.

That is one sad finish to a half. We were up 28-14, now it's 33-30 at half. Yuck.

When I started watching it was 26-11. I hate basketball sometimes! How the hell do you allow 11 points in 14 minutes and then 19 in 6? Sheesh.

Up 15 at one point. 0-5 in last two minutes and 10-0 run to close out half for PSU.

yup. Took some very questionable shots, tried to do too much stuff one on one. Why? The offense they were running to get it to 28 points was working well. I don't understand how they can get away from it so fast and let a team have a 16-5 run the last 6 minutes of a half...

Another trait of Huse coached teams-they can blow a lead faster than anybody in the country.
Had a nice flow going for a while. PSU must not have realized that they can do whatever they want inside-especially when Budinich is in as he is completely helpless on defense. Biglow had a nice turn, Coleman hit some threes, and Davis is playing pretty well.

...playing lazy...quit working for good shots, taking threes with defense in their face and fall aways with time running out, standing around...not taking care of the ball!

Well, at least they are rebounding better than I thought they would...

.....then they took Brumwell out!
Trading the lead in the 2nd half...coulda, shoulda, woulda!
Making a run..up by 6 sharing the ball!..... when Biglow has the ball ....good things happen!
Up by 8 with 3+ to go....Biglow/Davis taking over

Cats win at the Stott Center 70-64. Moon and Blount have quiet nights, but Davis goes for 22, Bigelow for 12, Coleman hits some big 3's. Make just enough freethrows down the stretch, get a much needed road split. Showed good toughess after a 20-5 run put them down 34-33 2 minutes into the 2nd half. Ran that weave with a screen and roll on the end a couple of times for easy shots for Bigelow and Davis. Good job on the boards too, especially on the offensive glass.

Cats win 70-64! How about that! Huse coached a heck of game in this one. Losing Paul Egwuonwu is about as big a loss as any team could face. We went small with Davis at center most of the second half. Everybody was concentrating-going after rebounds. When I say small I mean high school small. We had Biglow and Dison at the guards (both sub 6') Blount and Coleman at the forwards and Davis at center. Biglow and Davis looked like Stockton to Malone running a pick and roll from the elbow for a bunch of points. Davis ended up with 22. PSU couldn't seem to figure it out. Really it was pretty amazing. Then when we got a bit of lead we just took the air out of the ball and PSU just let us.
The bench reallys stepped up. Coleman, Brumwell, Dison, and especially Biglow who when he plays within himself is terrific.
This is a pretty huge win and gets them some momentum going into next week's homestand.
Good win guys!

MSU is now tied for 3rd with SUU, who are on a 4 game win streak, with UND at 6-6 as the only other BSC team at .500 or better. MSU definitely has a more favorable schedule left with 5 home games compared to 3 for UND and only 2 for SUU against the Montana schools.

I was following it on the MSU gametracker and noticed quite a few plays where Davis scored Biglow had the assist and was wondering how that was transpiring. Good analogy. Biglow finished with an impressive seven assists, which is good for a starter, but he came off the bench.
MSU is now 8-3 in its last 11 games, including the 7-3 in conference games. The three losses were all on the road. One in OT to UM, by four to EWU and by 13 to UND, but it was a one-pt game with five minutes to go in that one. MSU is also the only league team to beat WSU and has come closer to beating UM than anyone else.

Isn't UM a league team that also beat WSU?
