I wrote the intro paragraph and the MSU review. The rankings are based on Stadium Journey's fanfare scale and reviews were done by several different writers so that throws things a bit out of wack. Also, they're ranking more than just the arena. The food, atmosphere, fans, neighborhood, access, and bonus points factor in as well. Personally, I think the top 3 are about right. Then I'd put Southern Utah and MSU. Then NAU, then the rest. I think Sac State's is a bit high but the reviewer happened to be there during a sold out night-so that little gym packs in a quite an atmosphere when full.
By the way-the Stadium Journey website is awesome!
