WBB at UND

Post by MSU01 » Sat Jan 18, 2014 4:43 pm

The Bobcats take down the previously unbeaten Whioux 76-65. UND is still in first place at 6-1 but MSU only 1/2 game back at 5-1. The cautious optimism continues to build in Bobcat land...

That was on the road, right? So 3-1 on road?

Getting back to the dribble drive offense has really helped the Lady Cats this year. Both Brumwell and Elliot are playing some of the best ball that I have seen out of them since they have been at MSU. Ashlee is playing like she is on a mission.

Really proud of how they playing right now. However it is a long season and they have to keep getting better as they work for a tournament birth. I know the Lady Griz dropped two this weekend, but every year Coach Selvig has those players playing their best usually at tournament.

I have no idea who will win the conference, but the Lady Cats have a legit chance at making a big run at it.

That was a really impressive road win by the MSU women yesterday, and an impressive road sweep for the weekend. It was sort of a morale booster to offset the men's disappointing loss. WSU at home next weekend is as close to a "gimme" as you're ever going to get in the BSC, but they can't afford a letdown against ISU. Hopefully they learned a lesson about that from the men. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but they should be 7-1 after these next two games, which would obviously be a really nice start to the conference season. Of course they started 8-1 last season, ant then went 3-8 the rest of the way. it sounds like they've made some changes though, that will hopefully prevent a repeat of that.
