Good hands....
I was at the Men's basketball game last night and was fortunate to be able to sit behind the Bobcats' bench in the second half. Coach Sprinkle is extremely intense and he understands this. He wants perfection on every play. Because of that he isn't often happy with the play of his team. I believe that is why he walks away from the team during timeouts to collect his thoughts. His assistants are less outwardly intense and the do more of the instructing during the game. This combination really works. I could tell that the players are all enjoying the game and that they love the coaches. Also behind the bench last night were Leon Costello, Casey Fox and a female whom I have seen before at MSU games but don't know her name. I was able to talk to all three of them briefly and found them all to be very personable and knowledgeable. This program is in very good hands indeed.

Getting Coach Sprinkle back in Bozeman has been extraordinary for the Cats basketball program. He's put together some really good talent, and they're starting to really click. Hopefully the cats can carry the momentum they have right now and roll through the Big Sky tourney, I think this team is really dangerous and could win a couple of big tournament games if they keep rolling. They're really fun to watch too! MSU athletics is on fire right now.

Re: Good hands....
I think it was October 2019: I went to an alumni association gathering in downtown Denver. Leon was there. He talked for 40 minutes about the football program, and how we were poised to make a continuous climb. There were multiple questions tossed at him about indoor facilities, etc.
I finally raised my hand and asked..."Growing up, I always considered Montana to be a basketball state. When I was at school, late 90's...basketball wasn't king, but it was at least equal in popularity to football on campus. What is our plan to get some enthusiasm back into our men's basketball program?"
He listened politely...then said "Two words: Danny Sprinkle" Everyone kinda chuckled. He said, "No, I'm serious....he'll bring our program back."
True words!!!!

Not much to say that hasn't already been said. For Coach Sprinkle to have the program where it is in Year 3 is simply phenomenal. He does lose a lot of talent after this year due to the loaded "Covid senior class", so the development of his big 2021 Freshman class will be crucial in keeping MSU near the top of the standings with no drop-off. Hopefully Jubrile comes back for one more year, that dude is an absolute BEAST when he's on his game and out of foul trouble. Also a great Twitter follow (as is Coach Binford), they definitely both understand how to utilize social media to build support and enthusiasm for their programs.
