Any team that can beat Weber and SUU on the road has what it takes to win the tournament. Yes, they'll need to play better than they did yesterday to do it.

I don't think there is a dominant team in the league this year. If I had the choice of betting on a hand picked team or the field, I'd choose the field. It's really just going to be a matter of who gets hot. I think we definitely have as good of a chance as anyone else in the league.

Agreed. If I had to pick one team as my favorite to win the tournament I'd probably go with SUU right now, as I think they're the most talented team in the league overall. They're just so inconsistent though - will the SUU that fell behind by 16 against UM at the half show up or will it be the SUU that totally dominated them in the second half to come back and win comfortably? Hopefully that changes after MSU thumps SUU tomorrow and establishes themselves again as favorites after the losses to EWU and UM!

Frustrating game, but maybe the most frustrating part was ESPNU. I fortunately have ESPNNEWS so I was able to watch the first part of the game, but it's just a terrible production. They did worse than SWX would do. We maybe saw 3 replays the whole game, and the announcers weren't even there in the arena. I like the ESPN situation we have currently, but in basketball I hope we never have to watch another game like this one. And at one point in the 1st half there was about a 5 minute commercial break for me. I looked on my phone at the gamecast on the ESPN app and the game was going on. When it finally came back from commercial it was a couple minutes behind. Don't know if anybody else had that experience...?

Yeah it was really bad. SWX is a much better production. Why can't ESPN just pick up that feed? These guys knew very little about the players or the history of this game, Especially from an MSU perspective.

That's right. They knew both coaches played for the teams they're coaching, and they knew um had a bunch of good coaches over the years. And they knew the record overall in the series. That's the only research they did.

I mean that's 30 more points. The worst part is most of those 28 attempts were open, it's not like we were forcing them into contested threes. They'd burn by the defender, drive the lane and then kick out to an open shooter over and over and over. It was painful. Thymes finally came in and helped in this department but it was a bit too late. We don't have great on-ball defense and the Griz exploited that, especially against those screens. I would have liked to see us try a zone, couldn't have gone any worse.

With Mack Anderson out for the Griz I don't know why we just didn't feed Belo non-stop. I know the Griz did a decent job of taking away those passing lanes but Belo was feasting when he got the opportunities and was getting their bigs into all sorts of foul trouble.
