After the release of the all-league and individual awards were released yesterday we wanted to do our own version.
We did agree with the BSC on the individual awards but had some differences of opinion on all-league teams 1st-HM.
Here is our breakdown of the awards.

I think Mattio of UNC was overlooked for COY nominations…look at all the key players she lost including MVP pick and whole cast of new characters and 1st year at UNC….and how tough they are playing at rend of year.
Guess I just always look beyond the conference leaders who come in season loaded vs a team that a coach takes to success from the ground up.

Mattio may well be the Coach of the Big Sky Tournament and I agree that the CotY shouldn't automatically just go to the league champion, but I'd have serious trouble giving the regular season award to the coach of a team that finished 9-11 and in 8th place.BobcatDel wrote: ↑Tue Mar 08, 2022 2:42 pmI think Mattio of UNC was overlooked for COY nominations…look at all the key players she lost including MVP pick and whole cast of new characters and 1st year at UNC….and how tough they are playing at rend of year.

I agree.. note I said “nominations”…don’t think she should have won either. And just an opinion but it was more than just tourney.MSU01 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 08, 2022 6:22 pmMattio may well be the Coach of the Big Sky Tournament and I agree that the CotY shouldn't automatically just go to the league champion, but I'd have serious trouble giving the regular season award to the coach of a team that finished 9-11 and in 8th place.BobcatDel wrote: ↑Tue Mar 08, 2022 2:42 pmI think Mattio of UNC was overlooked for COY nominations…look at all the key players she lost including MVP pick and whole cast of new characters and 1st year at UNC….and how tough they are playing at rend of year.

But then I choke when a player on 10-10 team gets POY too. But that’s another discussion.
