MBB vs Warner Pacific

Post by MSU01 » Fri Nov 18, 2022 7:15 pm

Surprised there's no game thread yet, not as though there's anything else going on this weekend.

Cats up 46-34 at the half, WP is basically launching threes and making enough to hang in there. Brown and Osobor aren't playing for MSU, haven't heard a reason yet.

During the pregame radio show, the guys said that Darius is banged up a little bit and they're resting him for the night. I think the same is true for Great Osobor. November is a crazy month for these guys, so they're gonna need all of the good health they can get!

Warner Pacific put up 71 points in an exhibition against Gonzaga, so they definitely have some firepower for an NAIA team.

Thanks for starting a thread. This announcer is slightly better than the WBB announcer :(

Yes, Ian Laird is the announcer and has a lot of experience calling high school games in the area. Not sure why they are no longer using the radio broadcast on the ESPN+ feed like they have in the past.

This Miller kid can shoot! The blowout is on.

Cats win 106-64. Nice to see Miller, Colceag, and Germer get a lot of minutes in the second half.

There was a delay in the radio to TV feed that made it a little weird, and ESPN wanted a dedicated announcer.. I am pretty happy they decided that. Please keep all comments positive about the Men's announcer, I hear the guy is pretty sensitive and insecure.

Felt like the coming out party for Jed Miller. I think Sprinkle needs to find some minutes for him. He can be deadly from way out and we really need that-our other main shooters just aren't that good and are not consistent.

Good minutes from Germer. I thought he looked good. Our freshmen are all good basketball players and if they stick with it will help this program.
