Honestly, I didn’t know anything about it or about who the poster is. Just curious if anyone at the game noticed?

I watched the entire postgame handshake line and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Kola kicked ass today, that should be the main story!

Did anyone see this??? It was posted by Bigskybreakdown on egriz.

“Why would Holsinger grab and try to discipline Kola Bad Bear after the game. Classless. No coach should ever grab a player from another team to scold them. BSC what you gonna do?”
That's a bizarre accusation. My guess is he held her up in the hand shake line to congratulate her on a great game. Broadcast didn't show it.

Egriz quote "...the BSC is the bubs world and everyone else is just living in it."

NAU and Sac State both got sweeps this weekend, so MSU is up by 1.5 games on NAU and 2 on Sac. A 2-1 finish clinches the outright regular season title and 1-2 clinches at least a share. Go Cats!

Lexi Deden, Kola Bad Bear, and Darian White-what amazing performances. But clutch all around. I thought the lady griz played really well in the first half. We got some separation in the third quarter but frankly we should have totally blown it open then. We had a hard time scoring on multiple possessions in a row. Those freshmen guards they have are really good players. Lucky that one missed that layup at the end-that was pretty improbable. How many threes in a row did they hit to get it close? Should have been a bigger margin of victory, but who cares. Sweeping them is always sweet.

5 threes in a row to end the game including the half-court shot at the buzzer. The Griz scored 22 points in the last 3:09 of the game! The Cats helped as they yet again refused to run clock on offense.

Brian Holsinger was nothing but complimentary of Kola in the postgame press conference. He gave our team credit for beating his team. That was pretty refreshing from one of the “over the hill” gang. It was an exciting game where the best players stepped up.

They just needed to avoid a few very early shots in the clock, and the last 3:09 wouldn’t have happened.

Great game by Lady Cat seniors. They led like the experienced players they are. That said, Holsinger is building the Lady Griz to be the dominante program and I think the following stat puts an exclamation point on that. Throw in the top rated recruiting class for the 2nd year in a row and the future looks a lot like that past. Colorados top rated recruit, Washington states top rated combo guard, and a top rated point guard from Wisconsin. All chose Brian's program over several power 5 offers. Stump and Konig are top two frosh in the Big SKy this year.

Lady Cat Frosh/Sophs 0

Lady Griz Frosh/Sophs 44
The frosh/soph scores are always lopsided in MSU games. MSU has no sophomores and only one freshman plays consistently.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Thanks for that totally irrelevant stat.

That might be the dumbest stat of all time.

We went for an early dinner and I was keeping track of the score on gamecast. CATS were up I think 14 so I stopped glancing at the score...

Boy. Was I surprised when I saw the score again...
Did not take some opportunities to burn the clock down, and a half court (? TV missed it) buzzer-beater almost closed the gap.

How were you watching it? The MTN broadcast showed the buzzer beater.

That was my main story from the women's game -

"Kola Bad Bear had as dominant a final rivalry game as any player we can remember. The Billings Senior product and her fellow Montana State seniors moved to 7-1 against the Lady Griz in their storied MSU careers."

ESPN+. They had the camera on Coach Bin, and she quickly started to turn her head, and when they switched cameras the ball just appeared at the left side of the picture and headed right into the basket. Could not see who shot it at all. Still seems silly to have two separate broadcasts. Waste of resources.
