As I was somewhat wistfully perusing Danny's 2023-2024 men's roster at Utah State this weekend, I noticed that Danny hired Xavier Bishop as a Graduate Assistant.
Good luck, Xavier, with your budding coaching career.

I try not to spend too much time thinking about how much of Danny's USU roster would be in Bozeman right now had he not changed jobs. Logie appears to have done a really nice job building the best roster he could and I think he'll have a lot of success with MSU in time, but a Sprinkle team with RaeQuan, Darius, and Great still on the roster plus a few of those transfers he got...wow.

I meant no disrespect to Coach Logie. From what I have read, I expect that he will be a fine coach with an exciting style of play. And of course, I renewed my season tickets for the 27th year in a row. But reviewing Danny's roster, I was reminded of two things: (1) Great Osobor still has two years (!) of eligibility, and (2) I am going to miss Coach Haslam's ability to recruit talented European players. Hopefully, Coach Logie and his staff will develop their own unique recruiting niches.

I don't think it's disrespectful to the new coaching staff or players to speculate on what could have been had there not been a coaching change. I will be following Utah State closely this year to see how they do, as I have heard pretty reliable rumors that in addition to Jackson Grant, a couple more of the transfers who ended up at USU were very close to announcing their commitments to MSU before Sprinkle left.duelalumnicat wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 8:27 amI meant no disrespect to Coach Logie.
