My Way to Early Take on the Women's Team

At this point, we have little depth. Only seven players average at least 19 minutes. The next highest (Berry) only averages about 5. We definitely need to build up the bench, especially with Coach Bin's uptempo and frenetic defensive style. My way-to-early take:

Lexi Deden:
Fearless inside. Will lead us all year. Will be the go-to if we need a hoop. Should lead us in scoring and rebounding.

Katelynn Limardo:
Right behind Lexi as the go-to. Will easily lead us in 3-point shooting. Should score nearly as much as Lexi. Doing a nice job rebounding and has always been an excellent defender.

Madison (Jackson) Hall:
Just like last year will be our spark plug and will do a little bit of everything. Our best shooter in the early going.

Mariah Dykstra:
Still a work in progress but plays strong and is getting more and more confident offensively and on the boards. A very good interior passer, leading us in assists by a wide margin.

Natalie Picton:
Thrust into the starting point guard position as a freshman and doing great. Not afraid to drive to the hoop or pop a three. Pesky defender. Needs to cut down on turnovers a bit.

Taylor Janssen:
Great 6th man. Looks to be a better rebounder this year and always deadly from three.

Isobel Bunyon:
Has looked good off the bench at times but a little erratic at other times. Certainly not afraid to be aggressive.

Malea Egan, Drea Brumfield, Brooke Berry, Lindsey Hein:
This group has played sparingly. Will somebody emerge as a strong substitute?

Dylan Phillip:
Injured??? We need her back. She got her feet wet last year playing about 8 mins/game.
