What was the Lexi D injury? Hopefully nothing serious. She’s a warrior.
They hustled her back to the locker room and maybe rewrapped her knee? The wrappings looked a little different. She went back to playing hard. Hope she’s okay. Playing like a Big Sky MVP Candidate.
Out for season….huge bummer

Oh, no!!! It’s what I’ve feared. That game started out pretty okay, but as we gained our lead it got pretty chippy. But the refs were “letting them play.” So I was cringing as JMU started to really pound on us to fuel their comeback, with almost no whistles to rein them in. Then, all at once, we had two players down at the same time. My memory fails me, but I think the other might have been Natalie. I told my wife, well the refs let it get away, and we’ve lost two starters on one play. Both players returned, but Lexie didn’t have her usual bounce. Confirms my worries.

Lexie, so sorry for you. MVP play all the way. I hope there is someone on the bench that can play. Marah cannot be used constantly as our only “big.” Our bigs are medium anyway, and to lose one is tragic to the team. May be looking at some five-out play like the men’s team.

Feel so bad for Lexi. She will definitely continue to be a leader from the bench. May she have a quick & complete recovery. I'm thrilled she will be coming back for the '24-'25 season.

Dang it, Lexi was having a great season and her on court leadership and inside play will be missed and very hard to replace.
No one player is going to fill her shoes by themselves this year.
I sure hope that Lindsey Hein is physically and mentally ready to really step it up and play to the potential she showed coming in.
Same for Brumfield and Janssen, going to need to play more minutes and be more productive.

Big loss. Lexi was headed towards an all-conference season the way she was playing…IMO. Losing your leading scorer this early in season hurts……as well as losing her senior leadership on the court. She was the one senior who had already confirmed she was committed to playing her “Covid year” and in the press release says she will be back next year assuming she recovers fully. She is a tough competitor.

That’s two starters down now…Philip and Deden. But I assume Dylan will be able to return at some point after she recovers…only she has lost a lot of conditioning and will need to get back into playing shape. Picton has been doing a good job in relief boding well for her future.

Will be interesting to see how the team adjusts. Can Berry or Brumfield pick up their game and a bigger role? Does Jansen step in as a starter and give us more minutes..she was doing excellent off the bench? Dykstra has been playing well but can she do more? Is Hein healthy enough and capable of contributing more at a higher level? Do we pull the red shirt from Johnson or Boulanger (footnote….I actually thought Johnson could contribute some this year just watching her in Blue/Gold game)?

Guess we will learn soon enough how Coach Bin adjusts. This may be one of Coach Bins most challenging coaching years when you add it all up…..loss of all conference performers not returning for fifth year, large number of new team members…a youthful roster, injuries to starters, new coaching staff. More and more looks like a rebuilding year. I’ll be there to support them all the way….and great opportunities to see new kids develope.

Very unfortunate injury. She kept getting better and better.

She has always been a warrior. We will miss her this year.

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Lexi has always been one of my favorite players to watch. You can tell she just has grit. Huge loss this year. Was excited to see her shine.
