School song

Post by Helenabobcat » Thu Mar 14, 2024 1:05 am

I could be wrong, but when they played the school song at the end of the game, it sounded like they were saying something different than ESG GCG. Does anyone know what they said? Or was I just hearing things?

I didn’t hear it but I hope it was something like “We are Dancing!”

I've never cared for the ESG cheer but could definitely get behind the Eat Starch Grizzlies. It seems like one good way to immortalize the amazing effort and victory the Bobcats had over the Griz last night. It gives the cheer much more class than the other way and is based on a great accomplishment that should be revered and remembered for generations rather than one that can only trace it's roots back to a drunken group of college kids. Not that I'm against college kids being drunk at a football game, been there done that at every game during my college career.

I think:

Tournament in Boise
Boise is in Idaho
Idaho potatoes

Not really clever but the only thing that makes sense

The normal chant is part of the rivalry. I do think it only needs to be chanted when playing the gris though.
