Yes to all of this!! When the coaches from the previous staff started recruiting Patrick back when Covid first hit, I never imagined how much fun we would have getting to reconnect with old friends and family- plus my daughter is also a freshman at MSU now as well.

Currently the MSU women have in state girls that play and have an impact.
Why can the women do it and not the men ?
Because almost all the best male athletes in Montana now choose to play football in college instead of basketball. That seems to be the big change over the last 30 years

Size paired with the athleticism. 6'2 and under guards you better be exceptionally quick. Bigger guards in MT end up playing more inside or off ball. 6'5-6'7 kids post. So a lot of time their skills don't transfer to position they need to play in D1.
