In addition to the Big 10 network, this game can also be viewed on the Fox Sports App.

10 minutes into this game and you can tell the boys haven’t gotten off the bus. Walker and the rest of the starters look like they did more drinking over finals than test taking. Look hungover and slow. Turnovers galore and getting the piss pounded out of them on the glass down 13-5 and have given up 5 O boards already. USC is statistically inferior to MSU in the NET rankings (104 vs 146).

We are shooting at 19% while USC is at over 50%. That doesn't win you many games.

This team is lacking a floor leader in a bad way! I don’t see ANYONE getting after each other. There’s no fire at all. USC hot shooting or not. That’s an easy out. C’mon Cats, let’s go!

Saint Thomas of USC was at Northern Colorado last season. He's lighting us up-as are his new teammates.

With all the attention on football I have taken my eyes off of basketball but I have to say I’m disappointed with the guys so far. The women have been pretty good so far

This team is really bad at layups. If it's a little contested, it's going to be missed.

Bad, bad, very bad…
This game was over when USC took a 5-0 lead 2 minutes in. USC punched first and the Cats just laid down and took the beating for the remaining 38 minutes. I was expecting much more effort and heart, but dang a lot of this team lacks both.
Nothing good came from this game. No rebounding presence. Terrible offensive play. Too much ‘I’ not enough ‘we’. Lazy passing leading to turnovers. Piss poor defense. Man we’ve got size but no one can guard. Jabe is slow, Max is very slow, Walker is stuck in concrete.
And again zero heart and effort. This team needs to find their identity and a leader needs to emerge. It’s a rudderless ship that’s sinking fast.
Props to USC. They’re big, long, fast, and have seem to have an identity. Took MSU out of their game plan from the tip. They play with energy and know who they are. Something I wish the Cats would find..

All of this! The upside, Cats play USC to a tie in the 2nd half.Desert_Bobcat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 9:08 pmBad, bad, very bad…

Lots of angst on this board about the MSU men but for what it's worth, they are currently the highest ranked Big Sky team in the NCAA's Net Ratings at #141.

Thanks for the perspective! I had to double check,,, and sure enough. I dont have a clue how they attain that ranking, because i see lots of impressive wins or performances by Idaho State, figured they were well above us.

Idaho State has had a few close losses to former Pac-12 teams but overall they're only 2-5 against D-1 opponents. Overall it seems to be a down year for the Big Sky, nobody has been overly impressive so far. The conference race looks wide open and I wouldn't be surprised to see the regular season champ have five or six losses this year. The women's side of things looks to be the complete opposite as MSU and NAU appear to be head and shoulders above the rest of the league.
