This looks like a really good get. 15ppg at D-2 Biola. A few more pieces to go, but nice to have some good news!

A little more information on Davian Brown after doing some searching this morning:

Played first two years at Lewis-Clark State (NAIA) in Idaho. Averaged 14.8 PPG as a freshman and 12.9 PPG as a sophomore, then transferred to Biola (D-2) for one year. His free throw percentage jumps out at you from the stats as he has been at 88% each of the past two seasons. Shot 40% on 3s as a freshman but that has dropped into the mid 30s the last two seasons. He had 76 total assists all of last season so doesn't appear to necessarily be a true point guard like Darius was.

Hopefully this kid has some guys he has played with Loggie can go after? I am hoping we can land a couple bigs. I mean the junior college over the hill keeps pulling in big bodies and we need someone who can hang and bang with them or could be a tough season inside the paint giving up offensive boards again.

Full disclosure, I know nothing about this young man's game or potential, but I have a hard time getting excited about NAIA guys moving up. Would much rather see power 4/5 drop downs looking for opportunity to play, maybe with a little chip on their shoulder. I just don't see a recipe for success recruiting from the NAIA ranks. jmo!

There are some great players at NAIA and D2, maybe didn't have grades or were not on travel teams etc. Lot of D2 that moved up had good seasons for high level teams. But, have to be right fit. We have a lot to fill. I just hope the transfers we do get play, last couple years many never saw the floor which seems like poor recruiting
