The Idaho volleyball story is pretty scary. Hard to see how that coach still has a job given his combined record of 5-51 in his two seasons there on top of the allegations. Thankful that MSU has the coaches they have, they win on the court and field but are also professional when doing so.
As for Holsinger, I wouldn't read too much into the player quote about being "yelled at". After watching the way the Griz played against MSU I can see how their coach would be unhappy and want to fix some of the poor play that helped MSU come back and win that game. Results are pretty good so far. Wouldn't be surprised if Coach Logie is taking a similar approach with our men's team after the meltdown in Portland.

It's a very odd thing for an article to focus on. The reality is that a lot of people don't read articles; they just read headlines and look at the picture. I'm guilty of this quite a bit. And this is just enough for some people to get the idea that he's just the next Bobby Knight. Old school parents will love it, but I know a lot of parents of good female high school athletes who bristle at the idea of somebody yelling at their baby girl. I think if they read the article they'd understand he's just suddenly more demanding and that this is a good thing, but not everybody is going to get that far.tetoncat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 8:47 amOdd thing for press to promote after what came out recently about Idaho and their VB coach and all the push about mental health. Im sure some don't mind but good way to lose players and recruits if it is overused. All coaches yell at some point, just can't be your primary method of communicating.imacat wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 7:40 pmHmmmm …. Ok, whatever

Likely for him it isn't and story took that path.
