I’ve saved all the Twitter vids of the play and aftermath that I can find. You can download Instagram vids too, if you want to, just need computer space to save them on. I have two external hard drives filled with Cat football highlites and complete games. Unfortunately, one of my main sources on YouTube doesn’t post complete football games anymore, so it’s tough to get those.

Waded seems to run right to front of the band. Getting ready to lead that fight songAFCAT wrote: ↑Wed Mar 12, 2025 10:32 pmI’ve watched ever replay I can find. That upper deck replay is cool because you can see the reaction from the crowd, the band (look at the tuba players), the bench, and I even think that’s Waded running around the end of the court.
The Etta James song video is one of my favorites too because I love that song and it really shows all the emotion of the play, especially from the bench.

100 percent. Glad they pulled it out because on the basis of record, combined with an NCAA berth, this can safely be called the best Bobcat team of all-time. If they hadn't gotten that NCAA trip, they probably couldn't make that claim.Travelingcat wrote: ↑Wed Mar 12, 2025 5:27 pmThe Grizzlies were playing with house money and MSU, sans Morales, was tight. They really deserve a 12 seed given their performance.

It’s arguably the best team in BSC history. I believe the BSC started for wbb in 1989. 30-3 is the best record and best winning pct during that stretch. Unless I missed something the old Griz teams won some first round games back in the day but never had a record as good.

Do that. Hopefully it motivates them to get better. I notice you aren’t disagreeing with me. They choked but got lucky. Tremendous season nonetheless, but this should not have been a close game.
Outside of Morales the team shot 12 of 40 from the floor. Griz shot 47% from the floor and 40% from 3. Couldn't close out with a lead late.
But despite the sour grapes, delighted they are going to the tournament. Obviously they had a regular season that fully merited a chance to play in the NCAAs.
Hopefully they will play a lot looser and hopefully they did enough in the tourney to grab a 12 seed.![]()
Um was 14-18 with just 10 D1 wins entering the tournament with a 6 seed. MSU is 30-3; nau finished 26-7. Combined to go 34-2 in league, while UM was 8-10. Bad teams get hot at the right time. Good teams go cold at the wrong time. But that doesn’t hide the fact that the good teams are much better than the bad teams.

They simply played well yesterday and the day before. I'm not sure if you're directing your comment at me, but I don't think anyone is saying they didn't play well. They shot well, defended well and got to the basket really well especially in the last 15 minutes. But at the end of the day teams do this all the time in college basketball tournaments. MSU has done it, too. I'm more apt to give a team that does this credit if they get a key player back or make a change that propels them. I don't see enough evidence that Harris did that and UM had some good games against good teams before he took over.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 8:59 amWell for whatever reason I was very impressed with UM yesterday. Their program has progressively digressed over the last 25 years. It's one of the biggest drop-offs I've ever seen in WBB. The last 10 years have been mind-bogglingly bad and sad. I believe since winning the league and tourney in 2015 they haven't finished higher than third, which they've only done once (last year). They're big run ended in 1998. They only won the league once in five years after that. Then they revived it winning five of six thru 2009. After that just twice from 2010 to 2025.

Sports can be cruel. Every fan and player have been there. It was doubly bad for UM yesterday. They looked like they'd lose when they went down four, then they looked like they'd win when they went up one, then they looked like they lost, then they got some hope from the official review, then it was over again.

Nope just generally speaking. I'm a fan of Harris from his time here. What that womens' team went through this season wasn't easy. I'm a fan of how he was able to pull them all together in the midst of adversity. I love how he had them playing they're best basketball of the year in March. A team we just beat by 30+ and were 15 point favorites yesterday and he had his women believing. I think he has a great basketball mind and I hope he gets a good long hard look at running that program.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 9:40 amThey simply played well yesterday and the day before. But yes, teams do that all of the time in all sports. Good teams play bad. bad teams play good. I understand that. I simply thought they played great yesterday and in light of all they've been through I was impressed.

This is just a pet peeve of mine. Trivial but...I just can't imagine the Montana media giving MSU a pass like the Lady Griz get. They were really good but they're average now, yet you'd think they've barely missed a beat listening and reading about them. Same for the football team. UM WBB and FB have won just three BSC titles in the last 16 years. That's three titles in the last 32 seasons combined. MSU WBB and FB has combined to win 10 (5 each).TomCat88 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 9:40 amThey simply played well yesterday and the day before. Again they interviewed Esme and then done. Broadcast over. Griz game yesterday they kept the broadcast going for at least 20 minutes.
Redpath sucked that game. I was on my phone so I couldn't switch to another broadcast. She was totally phoning in for the griz. My favorite was after the game she says something to the effect of its so exciting to go to the big dance, I've been there, who do you want to give a shout out to? What was that?
Redpath was bad, her broadcasting partner Tracy Warren was worse. I can’t really tell them apart, but my wife said it was Tracy doing all the screaming when the gris took the lead. @SACCAT must have been spinning in his recliner. This announcing duo is about as far from neutral as they can be — I’m surprised ESPN doesn’t give them the thumbs down.
I tried to note a few of the bad ones, but my iPhone was overwhelmed. In the first half, Bartsch shot a 3-pointer resulting in the comment (from Tracy?) “Just off the mark!”, when in reality it was a total airball, and not a particularly good one of those, being several feet short and left. Just constant one-sided bending of the facts, making you wonder “What game are they watching?”
During the UM - NAU game Tracy was singing the praises of Sophie Glancey. I just listened to the audio again. She said something like “… everyday, you want Sophie Glancey on your team. Arguably the Conference … umm … Co-MVP.” No argument about it — she wasn’t. They supplied a number of digs at the Bobcat’s Esmeralda Morales, the Conference MVP who lead her team to win, not lose.
At the 7 seconds to go mark, one of them said gleefully, “Amazing. The gris lost to Idaho twice in the regular season, beat them in the tournament. 0-2 against NAU, beat them in the tournament. And now 0-2 against MSU in the regular season, defeat them in the tournament!” WHOA? Marah Dykstra, are you listening? Marah? Oh, never mind, she’s busy making a basket.
Stuff like this, over and over, is unnecessary and highly unprofessional. Tony Parks and Joe Cravens are so easy to listen to (and dispense a lot of basketball knowledge) compared to Redpath and Warren. I will admit Krista “The gris are a momentum team” Redpath has pretty well dropped the “I played for Robin” spiel, but now we find out, that unlike apparently the rest of the NCAA the gris are a momentum team. Momentum (R) has apparently been permantly licensed to the gris.
@rfischer94, now you know why we’d rather listen to your chalk squeaking across the blackboard writing, the limit of the sum from k=1 …

@SACCAT was sitting a couple rows in front of me. He was def mad about missed traveling calls. I thought I saw at least one.

I completely agree. I refer to her as Krista Grispath. I have heard former players who are very professional. Rebecca Lobo is a good example. She was a star for UConn but does a great job of not showing partiality when covering her alma mater. Kara Lawson played at Tennessee and also did a great job announcing before she took the coaching job at Duke. Krista is in a league of her own. I’m thankful I was at the game but then I had to suffer through the terrible bias when I watched the replay.

I'm glad we have the other announcer there as a comparison. The gris did deserve plenty of credit for playing one hellava game. Several of their players were incredible yesterday. All the props from the other announcer were spot on even if I didn't like hearing it, but it shows me that Krista was truly awful. Otherwise she would have sounded more like her counterpart, who called it like she saw it. In my mind, there's a huge difference between those two.
