As tough as this is to watch, this is great experience for our underclassmen. Picton, Chirrick, and Harris will grow a ton from this game. Dykstra has made moves twice that left multiple Buckeyes picking up their (proverbial) jocks.

We got away with some passes this year that OSU’s quickness turned to steals today. We’ll be that much better.
Was thinking the same thing. Harris and Chirrick both had tough games but they hopefully learned a ton today.

Incredible season that I will never forget. Dare I say we might be as good or better next year? Lot of reasons to be optimistic.

Ohio St is quicker, stronger. They came out in the 3rd ON FIRE. Proud of our LADIES.

Will there be a replay of this game we can watch if we say had to go to a tradeshow for work and couldn't watch the game?

Is Deden out hurt?
Something must be wrong. She played so little in the BSC championship game and now her obvious absence here.
I think I saw a brace on Deeden’s knee when they showed the bench at the game’s conclusion.

They will not win 30 games next year. Whoever, it will be fun to see how it all comes together and I’m glad that the extra covid eligibility year BS is FINALLY flushed out of the roster. Next years success will hinge on whether or not Chirrick & Johnson become offensive threats and they will still need another point guard. Bunyan, Chirrick & D. Philip are not the answer, but hoping Jamison Philip is. Love Picton though!

There's a reason why it has been 25 years since the last time a Top 4 seeded women's team lost a first round game at home. Cats did some nice things tonight but ultimately the difference in talent and athleticism will win. What an amazing season, thanks to everyone involved and let's do it even better next year!

So looking at the box score we definately let Esme play. 35 minutes. Taylee only for 16. And no steals? Was it an off game for her?

Whatchu talking about Willis?

A: Izzy Bunyon isn't a point guard. Nor is Chirrick plus she doesn't have the ball handling skills to be one. She's a better 2. Dylan Phillip was slated to start before Esme transfered. She is good. Maybe not a scoring threat Esme is but obviously someone Bin has faith in. And Natalie. Love me some Natalie. I think she has superior ball handling skills. She's better on defense than Esme. Esme has talked about that how she helps Natalie with her scoring and Natalie helps Esme with her D.

B. Dylon's sister is coming next year and she's even more touted than Dylon coming out of high-school.

We current have Natalie, Esme, Dylan, And Taylee listed under 6 feet. Couch Bin likes shorter PG, like she was. Our 4 recruits coming in next year are all listed at less than 6 foot. So I'm sure there's at least 2 capable point guards in that group.

I have 100% confidence in Natalie and Dyl, as long as she's back from injury by the season.

@lutecat My uneducated take on Chirrick’s limited minutes… she is really good on defense, and she is quick enough to take some people off the dribble even against the big 10 athletes. She picked up her second foul early in the second quarter and sat the rest of the half so lost some minutes there. Also she is still raw and susceptible to turnovers, and their press was ferocious. My guess is we were trying to protect a bit against turnovers. This is purely my uneducated opinion.

I can see that. I think their box score said she had 4 turnovers. But then Esme had 5 as well.

Screw “the Ohio state university” and their creepy whiny coach, whiny entitled fans too booing up 24 on a foul call.

Hope they lose to Tennessee :D

No need for that. This isn't the football thread. Let's keep it classy like our girls did.

You made my point, you didn’t see any that from the Blue and Gold, thanks for keeping up!

I got the sense a few times this year that Natalie is ready for this to be her team, I think we are in good hands. I had actually thought they had done a good job this year of avoiding those push passes, that drove me nuts last year, not sure why they came out today.

With the lack of offense from most of the team, I do wonder how different today looks with a healthy Dylan Philip, as she added some needed plays on offense many times this year.

I think we are in for a heck of a ride over the next few years.

Totally agree and have thought the same. I think a year under Esme has done loads for her game. She was good as a freshman. She's even better this year. She felt more in control. I'm EXCITED for her next two years.

Natalie's first drive she got blocked into oblivion. That could have shut her down, but she went right back at them and had OSU all out of sorts, losing the lead, and getting T'd up. In the end, pissing OSU off probably backfired, but what a great moment. She's small, she's going get her shot blocked now and then, but keep going right at 'em. She's going to be a very key player for us next season.

I just listened to the presser with her and Esme. That's the first time I've seen her in a presser. I'm even more impressed with her and I was already impressed. She's so well spoken. She gives great answers. You can hear it in her voice. It sucks we lost but im stoked for next year with her as a junior already!!!

Cats will be a very young team next year with only one senior in Marah Dykstra. If Coach Binford can keep the roster mostly intact I think the Bobcats will be right in the mix for another championship next year. As others have said, Natalie will be a star for the next two years. Having the chance to play with Esme this year is going to be absolutely massive for her development as a player. No need to speculate on any specific names but it seems likely that we'll see at least one or two transfer portal departures and additions this off-season. Can't wait to see how much this year's freshmen can improve between now and November.
