Re: MBB: Josh Huestis -future recruit?
And thanks mslacat. its never hard to be in the corner of family especially when they are good people. feels good that he's finally close to his dream and that some of these sites finally give him some ink even though ive been writing them (espn,scouts.com.prepstars etc) since josh was a 8th grader trying to tell them what some montana people already knew, that he was gonna become a good player. ive sent 150 plus letters in that 4 year period untill they put up a profile and then 100 more just this past year untill they said they would take a look when he came to vegas. i wish th coach would put up the stats after each game on maxpreps like some other montana coachs do so more people can know how hes playing out there. hopefulyl his team wins the state title again this year. After that hes coming right back to cali to work with some nba players my brother and the personal trainer he worked with last summer. some people on here already know that because they asked me to keepo them updated last july.

I watched his post game interview on Q2 last night. What a great kid. Very well mannered, natural and just seems like a kid that is going places. I wish him all the best, just wish he was going to MSU

Very good points! Totally agree. One thing you just can't teach is how smooth and instinctive he is (especially passing the ball). All he needs to do is get on a weight program and he will become a great player. He has all the intangibles and is VERY coachable. He has one the softest jump shots I have seen. The ball just dies (hardly any bounce) and forward roll (if short). He is smooth (kind of like poor mans Durant a little ... same body type).hodges wrote:the comp in aau is more of the comp he will face at the pac-10. he showed there that hes comfortable playing at the small foward level,
and wbtfg you seem to be the only one taking it that way. there were other peopel on here from montana who said the exact same thing i said. if you wanna take it as me saying youre a simpleton then thats the way you can take it. i cant control how you view things
there are alot of big guys who can play sf on the next level but dont look as comfortable on the hs level because they are usually the biggest thing out there and the guys that are guards out there are pretty small and lower to the ground which makes it hard on offense for a guy that is 6'8. But when you watch him against small fowards and guards of college size then you can see how much more comfortable he becomes because he can get lower then those guys
plus when you are only playing on the outside for a couple of min a game you dont get into the flow or stay out there long enough to get comfortable

My wife and I both thought the same thing. Watching his is very similar to watching Durant when he was at Texas.CARDIAC_CATS wrote:hodges wrote:He is smooth (kind of like poor mans Durant a little ... same body type).
