I'm not saying I expect the Cats to win this game. The odds are stacked against us.

However, this is the beauty of this tournament, and why my personal opinion is that it's the best sporting event there is. I have been to these regionals countless times, and in these first rounds especially, momentum and crowd energy are huge factors. 90% of the arena won't be Cat fans. But if the 14 seed keeps hanging around that 3 seed, you gain fans by the minute. You keep it close by half and there's a buzz. Come out in the 2nd and keep momentum, before you know it you have the entire crowd sans TT fans pulling for you.

Take care of the ball, avoid allowing large runs, keep the score within striking distance, and let the chips fall where they may.

Side note: I hated seeing this matchup as it wasn't even a week ago I was telling a buddy how tough I thought TT looked in their tourney and wouldn't be surprised if they were a final four team. Now I'm hoping they get upset in the first round!

Have we decided if Allegiant delays are good or bad? We were delayed badly to SHSU right?

Very true, but then they were also heavily delayed flying to the National Championship game and that one didn't turn out so well. To be fair, the second delay was not Allegiant if I am remembering correctly. I'll just root for them to be on time as I know I'd rather be in San Diego right now than Montana!

If the refs call this game VERY tight, then Tech could be in trouble....for example:

Tech lost to KU in the Big 12 Championship by 9.

Tech only shot 13 FT's in that game, made 6 of those. Compared to KU shooting 32 FT's, and making 25.

Yup, exactly what I was thinking. If he comes in hot, AND our bigs make it happen underneath, AND our sharpshooters are on, AND Xavier plays at the top of his game... I do think we can hang with them. I think the defense will be there regardless and the effort will be there. But, if any of the above don't happen, TT runs away with it.

Vegas cannot measure the heart and soul of this team and that of Bobcat Nation. Regardless of the outcome, the Bobcats will fight as hard as any team in the tournament. The seniors on this squad are battle tested. The coaches have prepared the team for tournament play, and I expect a fight.
