Hope they can keep it up! Great effort all around.
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14.

Re: MBB - Weber - ESPN2
Great win but if I have one quibble. So many games earlier this season it seemed like Cats ran almost a 7 man rotation and they would lose late due to guys like Ford and Turner running on fumes. To see guys like Miller and Olmsted contributing makes me scratch my head a bit.

Crowd sounded great on TV
Gotta hand it to Logie. Getting to 14 wins with what he got handed is incredible.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

I love the way he’s working a bunch of guys into the game. They’re gonna be able to wear teams down with their depth. Who’d a thought the cats would have depth this year?

@Prodigal Cat I have been wondering about that too. Maybe these guys weren’t ready yet. It does seem like many of the guys — Turner, Miller, Olmsted — really have developed on our team this year. Maybe they all needed time for it to click. I don’t know, just speculating.

Olmsted usually looked completely lost out there when he got into games early this season. I think what you're seeing is a combination of great coaching and a player with a great attitude leading to significant improvement over the course of the season. It's exciting to watch unfold!saintcat40 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 9:54 pm@Prodigal Cat I have been wondering about that too. Maybe these guys weren’t ready yet. Really happy Ford and Olmsted walked out of the Brick for the last time with a win. What makes it better is it was on National tv!
I know we aren’t favorites to win in Boise, but I don’t think anyone wants to face the Cats right now If they play like they’ve played the last 3 games they might just walk out of there with another ticket to the dance!

Best game the guys have played all year....and they picked a national broadcast to do it!
This team is really coming together. I love how deep into the rotation Logie is going...Miller and Lecholat have been playing outstanding ball....
and in my opinion...Olmstead should be the starter in Boise. The guy is playing lights out and deserves the minutes!
P.S....the shot by Carter Ash at the end was the icing on the cake....
Great game guys...now keep it going in boise!

Re: MBB - Weber - ESPN2
I'm going to hang on to the memory of this one for a long time. Beating Weber is always a big deal. We have gone years without beating them. Recent seasons have been pretty great. Dillon Jones is an amazing player, but what a sore loser. He wouldn't even look our players in the eye in the hand shake line. He was a big baby in Boise last year when Sprinkle tried to shake his hand. The NBA, if he makes it, is going to be awfully humbling for that guy.
Did Logie severely miss with John Olmsted? He's ridden the bench all season. The past two games he's looked all Big Sky. Maybe Logie didn't have any 6'11" guys at Whtworth and Point Loma and he didn't know how to use him? I don't know. Jed Miller-same thing to a lesser extent. Really happy for those kids.
Glad this happened on ESPN2. Anything in the tournament is gravy.

The p × p guy about Ford: "Also an assist, also two fouls drawn, I believe he saved a cat from a tree on the way here."

What a great atmosphere tonight in the Brick. The guys brought it and the crowd ate it up. Go Cats!

Re: MBB - Weber - ESPN2
What a win! Feels big time. We were start to sink in the second half and then went on a huge run, and when Olmstead hit that three oh boddy.
Both Miller and Olmstead have improved tremendously throughout the season. Could they have gotten reps earlier? Probably, and probably should have just based on how many times we ran out of gas. But we don't watch practice.
Savor this one, but man it sucks having to play them again in a week.

I'm calling a collapse in Boise by Weber State. They have under achieved all season, and I just have a sense that they are one and done.
