For a close game for so long we suddenly lead by 33. Lol
If you rewatch the game or rewind watch Esme dancing on the sideline when Teagan gets her first points.

Our depth is the defining factor. By the middle of the third quarter, we are a step quicker than the best opponent. It’s all cruising from there.
...for today we raise, the BLUE and GOLD to wave victorious!... GO CATS GO!

Agreed. Would’ve loved to see it. Congrats Cats!
@msuthecatsden shows some of the players (Teagan, Picton, Johnson, & Bunyan), cutting down the net on their Instagram story.

Thanks. That was awesome. I debated driving over and really wanted to be there to watch that. Maybe they do it again Saturday when we win the Big Sky outright!?

Ella was the ONLY player, starters and bench, to not score and she had 6 boards, 4 assists, and ESPN says 2 steals but I swear she had 2 blocks according to Sac, that they don't have on her stat sheet.

Re: Let's do this--WBB vs Portland State
Started 2 freshmen and sophomore along with Esme and KJ. Took a while. We'll miss Dylan. She wasn't a stat stuffer, but she always got the ball to the right player at the right time and she played great defense. Portland State was really good in that first quarter and we weren't turning them over a ton early in this one.
But have no fear! Issy Bunyon still knows how to play the game! Issy started a bunch of games last season. This season she got pushed to the end of the bench-through no fault of her own-just a lot of good players in front of her and only 40 minutes of basketball to play everybody. Issy had a good shift in the 2nd quarter and when she came in in the second half she caused some turnovers, hit a three, and got a couple layups. Hannah Robbins and Teagan Erickson helped avalanche them in that 4th quarter. Our depth is no joke!
Dykstra appears to be walking with a limp. I hope she's a quick healer. We need our all-conference post in the tournament.
That was the most non-blowout feeling blowout I've ever witnessed. Cheers to Portland State for bringing the fight. Congrats to the Bobcats for getting to cut down the nets and drop another banner!

Bunyon's steal, layup-and one in the third quarter. Absolutely huge play in the game. Got the blowout started.

I second everything you posted BelgradeBobcat.
It was really nice to see Bunyan get 14 minutes of play and be disruptive on defense and productive on offense.
Deden showing more strength and flow and she attacks the ball on defense like she always has.
That was an awesome fast break Janssen had with Morales hitting her with a pass from half court and shooting well.
Harris hit her season high with 12 points. She also had a fantastic catch and shoot fast break. ( pass from ?)
Nice to see Robbins have a good performance on military appreciation day with her brother being honored and her family attending the game. If you haven't read the story in the link below you probably should.
Wow coach Binford does so many things right and her players follow suit. Couldn't be prouder of this team.

Yeah it was so nice to see her let loose with pure joy as she was being helped up. She rarely shows much emotion and usually looks so serious, even as she was headed to the sideline for the time out the smile was gone and serious look was back.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2025 11:34 pmBunyon's steal, layup-and one in the third quarter. No, we had a 6 or a 7 or something. Slow starters again. The zone in Portland flustered us the same way at the start. Happy that the gris have gone man — Selvig beat everybody for years with that 3-2.

MSU had a 6 point 1st quarter VS EWU in their 1st meeting (2nd conference game of year), and a 6 point quarter at PSU. Those are the lowest I saw on a quick search.
