Their inability to move the ball around sucks and has never improved in the last 6 years.

Cats down 17 at the under 8min mark. This is pathetic. I agree with most on here that something needs to change.

Man you guys look bad. Too many JC's. MSU was always tough when it had some Montana kids and these guys on your team this year just plain don't care.

What happened to the defense we showed against the Griz? ....and the offense we showed against NAU?

Well we're done. NAU must be AWFUL. Absolutely dreadful.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Well at least we aren't going to get embarrassed by the Griz on Tuesday, so there's that.

Too many JC's? We wouldn't win a game if we were full of Montana players.

Just a horrible last-half of the season. One of the worst I've seen.

The Griz aren't exactly loaded with Montana kids either, yet are doing fine :)

Honestly... I think this is much much deeper than talent on the team.. Whatever the hell type of offense Huse is trying to get them to run is just painful to watch ](*,)

The bright side is this season is mercifully put to sleep. Don't have to endure this again for another 9 months.

Guards seem to be out there looking for something that isn't there...Front line are just waiting for rebounds or blocking shots...not looking to score...if they knew how! How many times have we been held under 60 and a few times under 50! This is pretty close to the worst team we've fielded for a long time!

Well that is surprising. So excited for Year 7 of the Huse era.

Thats the problem with 3 year contracts at a university with a tight budget. It would be easier to part ways when we had the 1 year deals. On the flip side, if he does a good job coaching with conference championships, then the 3 year deals are nicer to keep a coach around

well.....i for one am VERY happy this season is over. don't recall a time where i was more frustrated with watching cat basketball. but not at all surprising considering we couldn't shoot the ball if our lives depended on it. i guess reid is technically our best shooter by default, and he was 2-10 last night....0-5 from deep.

don't recall a time where i saw such a poor shooting team. all season long, this was maybe the worst shooting team i have ever seen in this league. 22-60?!! really? we made 22 of 60 shots. simply pathetic. 3-16 from three point range?! are you kidding?

and worst of all....we actually gor WORSE in the second half compared to the first half. after watching the first, i didn't think there was anyway we could play worse after halftime. i was wrong.

i am happy this year is over. sadly, i don't have much hope for next season either. i wish i did. but with huse still running the show, and our recruiting being what it is, there is no reason to believe next year will be any different. perhaps we'll try recruiting guys who can put the ball in the basket?

Couldn't bear to watch the whole game...biggest thing that I saw last night was that we were really missing Blount out on the floor or a two guard that could penetrate and create his own shot. There are only so many times you can run Reid around screens for an open shot.

At least it is over.

I agree completely. Some MSU fans seem to think that we have a lot of good young talent, and believe that with another year to develop and get used to playing with each other, they are very optimistic about next season. But if we didn't improve any throughout the course of this season (of course we not only didn't improve, we were actually much worse in the 2nd half of the conference season), as all of these new, young, supposedly talented players learned the system and became more comfortable playing together, what would make you think that all of a sudden there will be a dramatic improvement next season? I'd bet just about any amount of money that our conference record will be somewhere between 8-12 and 11-9 (probably 7-3 or 8-2 in the 1st half, and then collapsing in the 2nd half yet again), finishing somewhere between 5th-7th place, with another 1st round loss in the tourney. The only variable is that I have no idea what to expect from the 2 new teams next season, but it won't take much for them to be better than us.

I see that MSU-Billings won a conference championship in the 1st season under their new coach. Hadn't their program been below average for about a decade? It's amazing how fast a good coach can turn things around....are you listening Peter Fields?
