Gotta use your head. McMahon gets an and-one if he doesn’t try to dunk.

Cats played better than expected. Good effort. Just couldn’t ever get a lead.

Zephir + Walker = 1/8. Unacceptable. No excuse for shooting less than 75%.

There isn’t a team in the conference the Cats can’t beat…..but they have to hit free throws. Gave that one away at the line.

That’s your game..
Walker 0-4 from the stripe
Zephir 1-4 from the stripe

I would have never thought this game would have been decided by FT’s. That’s why they matter so much..

Man a few free throws away from winning this game. I hope we get to see them in Boise.

With the exception of two years under Sprinkle, this program in mired in the .500 ball range. I just don’t know what it will take anymore. And they need to start beating the gris more than once in a while. This is getting ridiculous.

Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

I think we need to have just a little more patience. Sprinkle finished 5th and 5th his first two seasons and was 0-2 against the Griz (both games in 2021 were Covid cancellations). Logie finished 5th and the team is, you guessed it, tied for 5th right now. Frustrating game tonight, the Cats just could not get a stop immediately after they cut it to a one possession lead on offense. To me the key sequence was with around 4 minutes left when Patterson had a wide open look at a 3 to cut the lead to 1 but missed, then Sam fouled on the rebound and all of a sudden it's back to a 6-point lead. Our guys were absolutely gassed at the end but fought their asses off to keep it close, all those free throws were short short short every time.

This team finds different ways to shoot themselves in the foot. Free throws tonight. Also can't stop guards from going downhill. Threatt, Darling, and the two griz guards tonight. We're mediocre and they're good. Sometimes mediocre beats good, but not when you miss 13 fricken free throws.

I love everything bobcats and they have my full support in any sport. But the men being 5-24 since 2011 against the Griz is unacceptable. Atleast 13 straight losses until the Tyler Hall win in 2017. Beating them is starting to feel like a miracle, and it should never be that way.

The griz are a good team. Maybe this is the season that gets DeCuire out of Missoula. We can only hope.

What’s it going to take? A point guard.

And the announcer’s curse got Jabe Mullins. Said he’s third in the nation at 93.3% and he missed two of the next three. Tired. Need more quality depth.

Wow that’s awesome. Loved seeing gold floor to ceiling last night!

Didn’t have it on my dance card loosing a free throw battle would have decided the game. Having more attempts than the opposing team was a nice change for once. Jabe, Bryce, Jed (made the most of his paltry mins), Sam, Tyler and Pat all played their hearts out!!

I was sitting several rows up behind the bench, but apparently DeCuire was tapping back and forth with our crowd!

Basketball has become a difficult sport to watch. The fan support has faded significantly over the past 20 years. The only level doing well is the NBA. The top blue blood teams in college also do well. In Montana, the only time fans show up is for rivalry games but even that is fading in the high schools. I saw a pic of the CMR vs GFH game and it wasn’t half full. I went to the southern B divisionals a couple years ago and it had big crowds when Lodge Grass was playing but that’s it.

We need an identity. What do we do better than anyone? What do we lean on when the going gets rough? We're kind of mid at everything and that's enough to get us close but not beat good teams. I think last year was mental toughness but we've seemed to have lost that with Ford leaving. Guys work hard but can't close out runs to take a lead. Wire to wire loss even though we got within striking distance so many times.
