Hope you guys win. Doesn't appear like much of a height problem, all things considered equal; and they only defeated the Washington Huskies on their own court by ten points, that the Lady G defeated earlier in the season. Be a daunting task, to say the least, but don't let your season end in your next game. O.K. =D^

Wish you luck!!!

Tickets went on sale this morning. Ticketmaster said these are the school’s sections.
Ohio State- Section 104
Tennessee- Section 107
South Florida- Section 124
Montana State- Section 121 (across from the visitor bench)
If buying straight from ticketmaster, tickets are $24. Resale prices are pretty steep with some tickets at $300. Lower bowl baseline & corners still available for Friday’s game.

MSU allotment tickets can be bought for $30:

Wow, only poor Dawn Staley and South Carolina can whine that much about a #1 seed. Tha damn victim crowd is getting really old.
Dawn Staley has one goal in mind at all times and that's to motivate her own team as much as possible. If that means making them mad that they were "only" the #2 overall seed, so be it. She doesn't care what anyone else thinks of her and that's probably a large part of why she's so successful there.

I get that, but quit giving her that platform. It's a bad look for womens basketball in my opinion. The top coaches get no pushback on their silly narratives. The game is better than that but won't grow as much until they push the ideas that other teams can be better and there should be more teams with chances to win.

The game is growing incredibly quickly right now particularly with kids and younger audiences, which is great to see. I doubt a 12-year old kid in her Caitlin Clark jersey cares too much if Dawn Staley thinks her team should have been the #1 overall seed. You're right though that greater parity and a more even distribution of the top talent is something that needs to continue to improve, as it's always more interesting to have 10 or 20 teams who are good enough to potentially win the championship instead of the same 1 or 2 teams every year like it was during UConn's decades of dominating the sport and accumulating nearly all the best players. Caitlin Clark staying home to play for Iowa, the rise of UCLA and USC out west, and the improvement of the SEC including South Carolina, LSU, Texas, etc. are all definitely good for the sport.

So much content on SM right now with lots of new angles and insider reactions. Yes they have a game to play still, but winning on a last second shot (Sportscenter #5 play), Esme giving Bruno "5" right before going draining an and-1 (do they know her name yet lol), the confetti, the locker room celebration, the cutting of the nets, the very complimentary selection show coverage, etc are the more meaningful rewards for the first ever 30-win season in the BSC than a 12 seed imo. S. Florida got the 12 and they get to experience a beat down by Tennessee on the same floor. I'd actually rather have the team play in front of a huge home crowd in a high energy game. On ESPN analytics, the 12 seeds right now 6.5%, 8.1%, 7.5%, and 5.8% chance to win. We would be trading in one long shot for another long shot. Not a big deal.

No kidding. They were lucky to get that after losing to UConn last week, who got a #2. The more Staley has won, the more insufferable she has become.
Lindsey Gotlieb, the USC coach, was also bitching and moaning about getting a No. 1 seed LOL.
Does someone need to explain to arithmetic-challenged Lindsey that there isn’t anything better than a 1 seed? Here’s to everyone that whines about a #1 seed being beaten by a #16 seed.

I’ll just say here that it was a big loss to sportsmanship and class when Lisa Bluder retired from Iowa. You do not have to be insufferable to be successful. Our own Tricia Binford is another really great example.

Does anyone know how many tickets MSU was allotted? Awesome news that they sold out but not all that surprising.

The fan support for Bobcat athletics is incredible. I went to Boise and it was indeed the “Brick South.” Trish should really be able to continue to recruit well given the support. For the Bobcat fans who are going, we are hoping for an upset but even if that doesn’t happen the next game would be OSU vs Tennessee, so you are talking about a great weekend of basketball.

But hey, if our team plays strong defense and the shots are falling, we have a chance!

I had to smile watching this video to see Waded sitting right in the first row with the team during the selection show (far right). I can't imagine many university presidents would show up at 6 PM on a Sunday for something like this, but ours does. I think we all really hope that the next president, whoever they are, has the same understanding of how integral a successful athletics program can be to the success of the university as a whole.

The issue, I believe, is which team has the #1 overall seed among the four #1's. The #1 overall gets to play closer to home, usually. Still no reason to complain as far as I'm concerned, especially since their first two games will be at home anyway. It's a bit of a bigger issue in the men's bracket where no games are played on home courts, by rule.

The main disadvantage for USC this year in being seeded as the fourth #1 is that they got bracketed with the consensus best #2 seeded team in UConn. Geography isn't really an issue this year specifically since all of these teams get to play the first two rounds at home, and it was pretty easy to assign USC and UCLA to the Spokane regional and South Carolina and Texas to the Birmingham regional.

I can't decide if getting the winner of the 16 seed play in game is a benefit or not. Sure, the 16 seed had to pay two days ago and the 1 seed hasn't played for several days, but then there's the whole "rest vs. rust" issue as well.
