Dylan Philip is quietly having an incredible season after being out hurt last year. She plays incredible defense. She had 13 points today. 5-6 from field. She hit a clutch jumper near the end that really helped save us. Shout out to Dylan!

Nate Harris has turned the Lady Griz into a completely new team. I don't think anyone thought we would actually have a shot to win it. He and Woolley very well could turn this group into a serious threat come March. Avery Waddington showed why she is far and away the most talented freshman in the Big Sky. Lets hope the portal doesn't ruin that for the LG. The title will be the Cats' to lose.

Wow, horrible job by the ref there. Obvious travel missed leads to a 3 and Martin gets hammered on the other end with no call.
Kj was hammered another time that i saw that wasn't called. The refs allowed the gris to play really physical at the rim with not many calls our way. Luckily they did call the foul on Esme to seal the deal with the free throw.

I mean does she have as many steals as Taylee?

I don't know about "far and away". Taylee Chirrick is pretty good. I had a few conversations with Nate Harris when he was an assistant at MSU. Really nice guy. I was sad to see him move on and really sad to see him go up there. Your administration needs to take the interim tag off as soon as possible and give him job.

I went to the game. First basketball game in the Adam's center for me. I got seats behind the basket 2 rows up right next to the press. So amazing seats. I could see really well.

Some of our shots. Alot of our shots around the rim were off alot. Griz played tough physical D down there. I noticed we don't often try to out up a contested shot. I'd like to maybe see those shots taken alot.

The griz are going to be tough from here out. 3 point shooting was obviously a strength. And they pass well and quickly.

I'd say both teams ended up playing kind of sloppy at times. Either could've taken the game at points. In the end we had it. Weird ending. Honestly geiz should've fouled right away after the miss. All the girls were standing around like "is it over"? And no celebrating in the court. But after....

Good reminder, winning a rivalry game on the road is really hard.

Gritty win for the Cats.

Moral victory for the gris.

No doubt. Gris players were out on the court after the game mingling. You couldn't tell from how they carried themselves that they lost. They must be thrilled to not have the old coach anymore.

I'm sure they can't do it until after the season due to the legalities of the leave situation with Holsinger, but it would be an all-time bonehead move for them to not name Nate Harris as the head coach as soon as they can. If anyone can screw it up it's the Griz, though.

An inspired effort in a rivalry game on the heels of what happened to Holsinger should not qualify Harris for immediate HC consideration.

Fair enough, although my opinion is based on far more than just the result of today's game. Harris is clearly qualified to take on a D-1 head coaching position whether it's at UM or elsewhere.

I went to a movie this afternoon. After the movie was over, in the theater, I checked the score...now I can sit back and watch it without a heart attack!

I don’t think Redpath yelled “Avery Waddington!” enough.
Listen to the end of the first quarter. PxP was so lost he thought it was a "24 second violation" and a timeout for a good 10 seconds before he realized the quarter was over. Embarrassing.
Yeah, and he thought an 8.9 turnover margin meant that the Cats would get 8.9 steals for every one by the opponent.

I was convinced they would call that foul on the floor. Lucky Morales got to shoot.

Lets see how Avery does in Bozeman, no doubt a talented player, as is Taylee, who played a pretty good game on the road in the rivals building.
Do not sell the gris short on screwing up hiring Nate Harris. Always some administrative and alumni politics that get in the way with U of missoula.

I would say Waddington may, in fact, have had the best individual performance by a freshman this year. Maybe. Saying she's "far and away the most talented freshman in the Big Sky" is premature at best. That was impressive though. She's a problem all over the court.

I was just behind the Bobcat bench right at rim level, Coach B is such a good coach, so lucky to have her still, 20 years is amazing in this era.
Lady Cats really need to work on rebounding, especially on the offensive side, that seemed to be a glaring discrepancy today.
Take the W and keep it rolling, Go Cats!

Thanks! I’ve been going to give a shout-out to Dylan. She has a good line score game after game. She is a true combo guard who can play 2-guard with Morales or Picton but can play point as needed, which was the plan for her last year. I believe the acquisition of Morales has been good for Philip by pushing her into the 2-guard. A very, very good move by Trish to pick up Morales, because Picton is better, too, without the weight of the world on her shoulders. Good job, Dylan. We see you!
